The lesson is mainly about English idioms with numbers:
•to be on cloud nine
• forty winks
• in two shakes
• at the eleventh hour
• the four corners of the world
• to be six feet under
• to have one foot in the grave
• to take five
•to be three sheets to the wind
• at sixes and sevens
During the meeting students discussed the idioms and their meaning, practised them with Quizlet, guessed the idioms shown in the pictures, prepared their own pictures for the others to guess which idiom they meant. As a summary of the lesson the students played a Kahoot game to check how much they had remembered.
The final part of the meeting was a game on logical thinking. The students played in 4 teams (each country was a team). The winners were students from Romania! ♥
