Meeting in Greece
1st Day: On Monday 20th of June 2022, we had the pleasure to welcome in our school teachers and students from Poland, Romania and Bulgaria, our partners of the program: Maths is all around!
A student of our school presented the school and our ancient region, each country showed videos promoting the usefulness of Maths in every day life and all the students got part in activities of acquaintance .
2nd Day: On Tuesday, 21st of June 2022, at the Lab. Reflects, symmetries, regular polygons, art, cells, functions, graphs, maths competition. And in the afternoon visit to river Aliakmonas, discovering maths patterns in Nature, taking photos.
3rd Day: On Wednesday 22nd of June our program had Mathematics and Archeology: visit to the Museum of Vergina, guided tour by our students, workshop with the museum educator Foto Papargyroudi and then sea, to the Gallery - Platamonas. Summer solstice, sea, Greece!
4th Day: On Thursday 23rd of June 2022. Visit to the City Hall, welcome by the Mayor and the Deputy Mayor of Education, visit and works at the Archaeological Museum of Veroia (Mathematics and Archeology No. 2), certificates of attendance. In the afternoon tour of the city of Veria and at the end dinner in Elia.
5th Day: On Friday, 24th of June 2022, the last day of the program, we went to Thessaloniki. The day was rainy in the morning but a few hours later the Sun shined glorious.
We visited the castles, the church of Agios Dimitrios and the catacomb, the arch of Galerius and the White Tower. We practiced our math by shopping and calculating how much we should spend not to be broken
