  • ACTIVITIES 7, 8, 9

     

    STEP 1:

    In engeneering lessons students and teacher discussed about different machines that worked without electricity, but people were able to use them with natural energy.

    After their discussion, the class decided what kind of machine they could make themselves, but more importantly what kind of machines they can make and power them with natural energy.

    The most popular answer was - water and wind mills.

     

    STEP 2:

    After their discussion, the planning process took place.

    The first thing was to make a sketch of the machine they wanted to build.

    They had to calculate how big the machine needs to be to work properly.

    STEP 3:

    After several tries to make the sketch, students started to think about materials that they would need to make the machine. The goal was to try to use materials that can be found at home.

    STEP 4:

    After students had gathered the materials, the build process started!

    But first they talked about job safety!
