ENERGY activities 10, 11, 12

  • Now it is time to put knowledge into practise. Look at the gadgets students created!

    Activities in this lesson plan included:designing and building a device using their recently acquired knowledge about simple machines and natural power; writing a text about how their gadget works and how they built it ;making their model public to the rest of the community and to their European mates.

     

     

    This toy works with the power of water. The water rotates the wheel that makes he gear work to spin the carousel.

    This toy also works with the power of water. The water rotates the wheel, the wheel spins the axel with the helix at the end, the helix produces air that blows a small ball into the goal.

    This is a marble run. It includes five different simple machines: Pulley, lever, screw, inclined plane and wheel and axel ( the small car)

    This is anothe marble run. In this case you can find four simple machines: inclined plane, lever, pulley and screw.

    Students had a lot of fun while designing and creating these models but it was hard work!!. They had to detect problems and think of solutions.
