Missing Alík. Come and try with us to find our missing mascot.

Our school is situated in the north of the Czech Republic. It has about 170 pupils and 23 teachers. Our pupils attend the school from the age of 3 to 15, as we offer pre-school, primary and low secondary education. Our classes include mixed ability children. Our classes are highly inclusive of all children with various abilities and needs. We also educate children from different nationalities other than Czech. A low number of pupils in the class (approximately 17) give us a chance to focus on the individual approach to pupils according to their needs. We believe that the active involvement of pupils in international projects will bring them many benefits to their future lives. Therefore we try to implement eTwinning projects and Erasmus Plus as well as other regional projects, e.g. Lanterna Futuri. We see that knowledge of a foreign language is highly important nowadays. The English language is taught from kindergarten classes and the number of lessons of foreign languages is increased in elementary school. For about 5 years we have been trying to focus more on implementing CLIL in our curriculum. Many teachers (not language teachers) regularly attend English language courses.
