Live witout electricity was possible thanks to people´s creativity and simple engeneering . Our grandparents and great-grandparents used simple machines to help them in their  tasks. But many times, they were not strong enough to make these machines work successfully, that´s why, they used natural energy sources like heat, wind and water to power them.

It is amazing to see how a watermill ,a windmill, a foundry, a loom and many other factories worked with a clock- like precision gear assembly. Simple but perfect!!

The first activity in this lesson plan was to learn about simple machines

The second activity was to search for examples of non- electricity based  factories

The third one was to create an infographic with the information students had found

To finish with, Students had to share the results of their work with their European mates through video- conference .( as travelling was not possible due to COVID 19)
