Our school was established in 1993 as a four-year art-oriented secondary grammar school. In the academic year 1997/1998 the school opened 8-year study programme and in September 2002 our school launched a five-year Bilingual Slovak – Spanish education.
Curriculum
The 8-year school educational programme called Foreign languages and Culture is aimed at social sciences and multilingual education.
The 5-year Slovak – Spanish bilingual study programme is a science-oriented education primarily focused on intensive teaching of the Spanish language in order to enable our students to continue their studies at Spanish universities.
The programme is based on the Agreement on Cooperation between the Slovak republic and the Kingdom of Spain in the Fields of Culture and Education.
The students are taught by qualified Spanish teachers and they take their graduation exam in Slovak and Spanish, which enables them to apply for Spanish universities.
We are planning to start a new Slovak-Chinese bilingual eductional programe in the school year 2015/2016.
