Results of the PT week
This week's activities seem to have been appreciated by the big majority of participants, according to the evaluation form's results.
Portuguese students’ main benefit was being able to go on the visits and participate on the workshops for free. They also mentioned this:
- "I learnt more about the other countries, how was the school there, the climate...",
- "words in other languages, things about their country and work as a team with foreigners",
- "I learnt to communicate in English and the numbers from 1 to 5 in other languages",
- "I learnt to communicate more in English, I learnt to say words in several languages and things about other countries",
- "I learnt some new words, new things about countries and working as a team",
- "to understand their languages, to develop English, to communicate with people I do not know".
Foreign students comments:
- "I learnt to use my English better, I can manage on my own with strangers.",
- "I learnt Portuguese language, how to dance Portuguese dance and work as a group",
- "The way of their life, things about art and music and better English",
- "I learnt to be without my family and how important is to travel to a foreign country",
- "A lot of things about music and art and how is to live in a foreign country.",
- "cooperation, forbearance, culture of other countries",
- "comunication, happy, photography, painting",
- "Portuguese culture, some Portuguese words, English skills",
- "I know a new culture and new people. I learnt something about other countries and I learnt to go to my limits",
- "I learnt host families can be great!".
Teachers were able to observe and share teaching methodologies while accompanying the students.
One of the aspects that gathered more positive responses was the organization of students in international teams.
