  • DETROIT: become human

        DETROIT: become human is a new upcoming production from the Quantic Dream studio. The game was first revealed at Sony's Paris Games Week in 2015, while the gameplay was shown off for the first time at the PlayStation E3 conference in 2016. Since then, we haven't heard much about it. We still don’t know the release date of the sci-fi game, but we can already tell that it’s going to be one of the best games released (possibly) in 2017.

        In 2012 the studio released a PS3 tech demo which was about an android who discovered she could feel emotions and appeared to be sentient. Many people were deeply moved by Kara who just wanted to live, so everyone had the same question: what happens to Kara when she leaves the factory?

    „To find out, we imagined a world in a near future where androids like Kara would look, speak and move like real human beings. We wondered how we –humans- would react if we were confronted with a new form of intelligence, how androids conceived as machines would be perceived if they started to have emotions.”- says Quantic Dream. That is why DETROIT: become human is a game that centres around seven different playable characters in the near future. One of them is Kara, who escapes from the factory she was made in. She finds herself in a world in which androids are simply used as tools to improve the lives of humans and have no emotions.

        In my opinion, the game has the predisposition to be one of my all-time favorites, as I really like the concept and the story, and I also love other Quantic Dream’s productions- Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls. I hope it will be released as soon as possible, so I can play it during my vacation, when I have some free time. :)

    Videogame revie(s)

    So this is a collection of reviews I will be writing on multiple resently released and/or  Popular videogames. But everything will be quite resent, oldest games having been Released up to two years ago. I will be touching at some games that are yet to be  Released but that will be at the end of this review. So lets begin the reviews!

    Dark souls 3

    Dark Souls 3 is an Action Roleplaying game developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment for Playstation 4, Xbox one, and  Windows. The fourth entry in the Souls series, Dark Souls III was released in Japan in March 2016, and worldwide in April 2016. And praised for it's difficulty but unluckily for veterans, and luckily for the newer players the game known as dark souls 3 Isn't as hard as its older counter parts bustill is hard when compared to newer games. Dark souls 3 is a game with an average play time of thirty hours and this isn't even counting in the DLCs with the first one Ashes of Ariandel having a play time of four hours and the second one The Ringed City Having a play time of whopping nine hours. So if you buy the full package you get a whopping forty-three hours of playtime and you get this bundle for 81€. So you should get the game if you're a new player to the souls series.

    Overwatch

    So this was no surprise to anyone who is in the gaming community and since no one Else reads this than the five people in the gaming community im going to cater to those five people so this will be brief. Overwach is made by a gaming company known as Blizzard Entertainment but everyone calls them Blizzard so I will too. Overwatch is Blizzard's Multiplayer first First person shooter and it's obvious a lot of care went into it, but it did draw a some some inspiration from Teamfortress 2 the old king of class based FPS' but not too much and I'm happy about it because the company that made the Game doesn't update it almost at all, and well as example Teamfortress 2's last big update added an official competetive mode that Valve had been promissing for years and I mean years oldest comments about how they are going to add an competetive mode were six fucking years ago but blizzard released competetive mode the same year as Overwatch but to the damn point

    OVERWATCH is a class based shooter that is very popular with a steep price of 40 dollars that Most people (me included) think that it way too much In its current state. A price like 15 dollars would have been better overwatch has 14 maps + some even maps that CAN'T be played after the events end, the day I'm typing it. Overwatch has 24 heroes that all feel very unique and well touhgt out overwatch also fortunately has cosmetics and not so fortunately Overwatch also has micro transactions. This wast so brief F*#&

    Battlefield 1

    Battlefield 1 is a First person shooter game developed by  EA DICE and published by Electronic Arts. It is the fifteenth installment in the Battlefield series, and the first main entry in the series since Battlefield 4. The game was released worldwide for Windows Xbox one and Playstation 4 on October 21, 2016.

    Battlefield 1 received positive reviews by critics and was seen as an improvement over previous installments Battlefield 4 and Battlefieldhardline. Most of the praise was directed towards its  Worldwar 2

    DOOM

    Doom is a jet again a First person shooter developed by id software and published by Bethesda softworks. A reboot of the Doom series, it is the fourth title in the main series and the first major installment therein since the release of Doom 3 in 2004. The game was released worldwide on Windows, Xboxone,Playstation 4 and xbox one on May 13, 2016. The game is powered by id tech 6.

    The game is played entirely from a First-person perspective, with players taking the role of an un-namedmarine, as he battles demonic forces from HELL that have been unleashed by the Union Aerospace Corporation on a future-set colonized planet Mars. The gameplay returns to a faster pace with more open-ended levels, closer to the first two games rather than the slower survival horror approach taken by Doom 3. It also features environment traversal, character upgrades, and the ability to perform executions on enemies known as "glory kills". The game also supports an online multiplayer component and a level editor known as "SnapMap", both co-developed with id Software by certain affinity and Escalationstudios respectively.

    Originally announced as Doom 4 in 2008, the game underwent an extensive development cycle with different builds and designs before being restarted in 2011 and revealed as simply Doom in 2014. The game was tested both by people who pre-ordered another Bethesda game, Wolfenstein:The new order, and by the general public. Mick Gordon composed the music for the game, with additional music contributed by Ben F. Carney, Chris Hite and Chad Mossholder.

    GAMING

            eSports (also known as electronic sports, esports, e-sports, competitive (video) gaming, professional (video) gaming, or pro gaming) are a form of competition that is facilitated by electronic systems, particularly video games; the input of players and teams as well as the output of the eSports system are mediated by human-computer interfaces. Most commonly, eSports take the form of organized, multiplayer video game competitions, particularly between professional players.

             The most common video game genres associated with eSports are real-time strategy, fighting, first-person shooter (FPS), and multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA). Tournaments such as The International, the League of Legends World Championship, the Battle.net World Championship Series, the Evolution Championship Series, and the Intel Extreme Masters provide live broadcasts of the competition, and prize money and salaries to competitors.

              In Portugal there’s ESPL (eSports Portugal League) which is a video game event that happens from 10th to 11th September. The games played there are League of Legends, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Hearthstone.

    The most played games right now are:

    • League Of Legends;
    • HearthStone: Heroes of Warcraft;
    • Overwatch;
    • Dota 2;
    • World Of WarCraft;
    • CS GO

                League of Legends

        League of Legends is a MOBA (multiplayer online battle arena) made by Riot Games. It’s a free-to-play game inspired in Defense of the Ancients and Warcraft III: The Frozen time.

          In League of Legends the players take role as a summoner that controls a champion with unique abilities and battle against other people or computer-controlled champions.

            The goal of the game is to destroy the enemy team nexus. Nexus is the main construction of the players base.

     HearthStone: Heroes of Warcraft

            HearthStone: Heroes of Warcraft is a free-to-play online card collectible video game made by Blizzard Entertainment, the same creator of Warcraft.

             HearthStone is a turn-based card game between two opponents, using a deck made with 30 cards and a hero.

             There are around 9 heroes, each one with a special hero power.

             The objective of this game is to reduce the opponent's health to zero using cards summoned with mana crystals.

    Overwatch

             Overwatch is a team-based online multiplayer fps (first-person shooter) made by Blizzard Entertainment.

             In Overwatch, players are assigned in two teams of six players each one selecting one of the 23 pre-defined character, named heroes, each with a unique movement, abilities and attributes whose roles are divided in four categories. The categories are: offense, defense, tank and support. To win a game you need to push a payload to the end of the map, capture and secure a point.

              Dota 2

                Dota 2 is a free-to-play MOBA video game made by Valve Corporation, the one that owns steam.The game is the stand-alone sequel to Defense of the Ancients (DotA).

                Dota 2 is played in matches between two teams that consist of five players, with both teams occupying their own separate base on the map. Each of the players control a character, known as a hero, with unique abilities and different play styles.

                 To win the game one of the team’s needs to destroy a large structure located in the opposing team’s base, called the Ancient.

               . Dota 2 is similar to the game League of Legends.

    World of Warcraft

                    World of Warcraft, commonly known as WoW, is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) made by Blizzard Entertainment.

                   World of Warcraft requires the player to pay for a subscription, either by buying prepaid game cards for a selected amount of playing time or by using a credit or debit card to pay on a regular basis.

                    World of Warcraft takes place within the Warcraft world of Azeroth, approximately four years after the events at the conclusion of Blizzard's previous Warcraft release, Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne.

                    As with other MMORPGs, players control a character avatar within a game world in third or first-person view, exploring the landscape, fighting various monsters, completing quests, and interacting with non-player characters (NPCs) or other players.

    CS GO

                    CS GO (Counter-Strike: Global Offensive) is a multiplayer fps made by Valve Corporation and Hidden Path Entertainment.

                    It is the fourth game in the Counter-Strike series.

                    The game pits two teams against each other: the Terrorists and the Counter-Terrorists. Both sides are tasked with eliminating the other while also completing separate objectives, the Terrorists, depending on the gamemode, must either plant the bomb or defend the hostages, while the Counter-Terrorists must prevent the bomb from being planted or to rescue the hostages.

    Our opinion about these games

          In our opinion, video games are a good way to have fun with our friends or even offline.

        If you are a person that likes playing online games with your friends, we suggest you play League of Legends, Rocket League, Overwatch, Broforce, Brawlhalla, C.S:GO, Paladins and Clash Royale.

        If you prefer to play alone, we truly recommend the games Final Fantasy XV, Infamous 1,2, and Second Son, Broforce, Just Cause, Far Cry and Sly Cooper.

       We suggest you these games because:

             1- We’ve already played and enjoyed them;

             2- We still play some of these games, both single and multiplayer and we can still have fun with them.

    THE GAME Counter Strike: Global Offensive

    By António Monteiro and Francisco Martinho, Lamego, Portugal

    • Counter Strike: Global Offensive is a multiplayer first-person shooter online game.
    • The game is based on two teams against each other: Terrorists and Counter-Terrorists.
    • The main objective of the Terrorists is to plant the bomb or defend the hostages (it depends on the gamemode). On the opposite side, the Counter-Terrorists must prevent the bomb from being planted or to rescue the hostages.
    • Global Offensive has a competitive scene, with Valve-sponsored tournaments, known as the "Majors", being the premier competitive event for the game and its watched by over 1 million people!
    • This game can have the advantages of upgrading your reflex and you learn tactics and understand “TeamWork”!

     Who can play it?

    • Everyone can people, even disabled people can do it. For example, Loop is  a small CSGO streamer who was born with HSAN, causing him to not feel very much pain. He scratched off his nose and lost all of his teeth, and now streams to try to pay for his dental surgery. In addition, he is legally blind and deaf, which is why his head is so close to the screen all the time.Photo by Nerdgazm CS:GO
    • His lack of teeth causes his speech to be impaired significantly. A couple days ago, he joined an ESEA match, and put his normal explanation for his speech in chat, whereupon his teammates made fun of and muted him for his condition. The community has rallied around him, especially after he made a few big clutch plays (1v5 and a 1v4).
    • A couple well known personalities donated large sums of money to him to help with the aforementioned dentures, and in addition he was just offered a full time job streaming by EnvyUs (one of the best and well know team from Csgo)...

    In our opinion this is one of the best computer games ever existed, we can have a lot of fun or play competitively!

    Borderlands 2 - Review

    the Introduction

    This game really caught my eye when I first saw the graphics and case art in my local store. The game’s unique artstyle makes it stand out from all the other RPG loot-and-shoot type of games and gives it personality. I bought this game on sale for the PS3 and played it local co-op with my unskilled sister. Of course this game is meant to be played with a friend or even three and it really makes the experience that much more fun and enjoyable. You might’ve noticed the 2 in the title which tells that this game’s sequel to another and this brings up a question: “Does this game improve on the original?” The short answer is “yes” and we’ll get into the longer one in the rest of this review.

    the Story

    This edition to the Borderlands franchise introduces the fan-favorite character named “Handsome Jack”. Despite his namesake Jack’s real face hidden by a mask, which to point out is a replica of his real face. Why does he hide his face, you may ask. Well that I’ll leave for you to figure out. Jack can be best described as a narcissistic psychopath, but despite these major character flaws the guy manages to be both funny and charming.

    Now onto the actual plot. The game starts you out as a “vault hunter”, a person who searches the dangerous land of Pandora for the mysterious vaults. The aforementioned Handsome Jack is also searching for them, since they contain a rare ore called “iridium”.

     You have the option to play as one of the four choosable characters, a siren called Maya, the sword wielding assassin Zer0, the commando named Axton and the gun toting midget, Salvador.  You start the game in a train where you’ve been hired by Jack, but this turns out to be a trap and the vault hunters fight the enemies until they reach a room where they think they found Handsome Jack, only to discover that the only thing it contains is some dynamite and a snarky audiotape left by our villain. From this point on you actually start playing and meet Claptrap, which you probably tell by his name, he never stops talking.  The story continues with you helping Claptrap and trying to get yourself into the Sanctuary, the safe heaven for people like yourself. (Criminals, thiefs etc.)

    In any case, the games plot isn’t anything earth-shatteringly amazing, but it keeps you interested and motivated, so it does it’s job. Handsome Jack is probably the best character and it’s no wonder they made a game where they explore more of his past. (Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel) Even though he’s a terrible person and very keen on getting you killed, I’m still always on the lookout for more of his audio logs and calls. The humor is good as always with the Borderlands series and you’ll always be waiting for the next sarcastic line or the fourth-wall breaking quip.

    the Gameplay

    Borderlands represents the FPS (First-person shooter) genre quite well with some of the RPG genre mixed in to game create an enjoyable experience. As I mentioned before this is also a “Shoot and Loot” type of deal, typically you find a town or a few shacks coupled together and out comes a hostile machine-gun wielding maniac or more likely twenty and you shoot them before they shoot you full of holes. Then after killing all or most you steal or “loot” their town for ammo for your guns, health to not die, shields (=are pretty much health, but they regenerate.) and many different types of weapons Like:

    • Pistols
    • Submachine Guns
    • Shotguns
    • Assault Rifles
    • Rocket Launchers
    • Sniper Rifles (personal favorite)

    There are also many subtypes, but those are getting way too complex to write about to mention all in this short review. Also many of these can cause elemental effects like being able to set enemies on fire, shocking and poisoning them is also an option. You can also use a melee attack (=close range non-gun attck) like Zer0’s katana or Maya’s little burst of siren power. But those are not as effective as guns unless you choose to make your character specialize in those areas.

    What do I think about the gameplay? Well it’s definitely addicting, that’s for sure. The amazing feeling of finding a legendary weapon is just great and using that gun you earned is also just as fun. The gunplay works and slowly building your character to whatever is that you want it to be, in my case a sniper assassin is satisfying. It keeps you waiting for that moment where you finally have the perfect build and can just shoot away.

    There weren’t that many bugs or glitches that I could find, only the texture loading as a bit on the slow side, but it really didn’t bother me in the heat of the fight. Only the loading screen weapon showcases really look distracting and that’s only really if you care about your loading screens for some reason.

    the Conclusion

    All in all Borderlands 2 is an improvent on the original, with an interesting enough story, nice looting mechanics and addicting gameplay to last you about 30 hours if not more if you’re playing with an incompetent shooter like I was. The only thing really laking was customization, yes of course you could choose your class, but not really much else. I would hope that in the sequal (The just announced Borderlands 3)  includes more customization and maybe even on guns.

    My favourite game  is CLASH ROYALE. It is a game  where you fight against other players, with cards given from the Chest. In order to obtain new cards is necessary to open the Chest. Inside you can find is  a big  quantity of cards. Between them there are   commune,  rare, epic, legendary ones. There are various types of  free Chests,(it  is received one every 4 hours),  silver, gold   crown Chests (are  received every 24 hours). Giant Chest,  magical Chest and 3 the most difficult Chest to found are: the super magic Chest , epic Chest (contain alone epics)and legendary Chest (contain a legend)and clan Chest.  We like it because is a  game  you can play  your friends ,you can  send messages with the clan.    Gabriel De Luca e Angelo Pulvirenti, Musco school Italy.

    What does eSports mean and what is it? Im gonna explain the basics of eSports to you. ESports mean electronic sports. ESports is usually 1 player or a team competing against each other at a game which they are really good at. Some games have bigger eSports scenes than others. For example LoL, Dota 2, Overwatch and CSGO have bigger eSports scenes compared to for example Super smash bros. In a eSports tournament there is a pricepool which if different in every game. CSGO majors there is always a (2017) 1 000 000$ prize pool (winner: 500,000$ 2nd: 150,000$ 3rd-4th: 70,000$ 5th-8th 35,000$) Here you can see the biggest prize pools of one tournament ->  http://www.esportsearnings.com/tournaments
