  • "The intouchables "

The intouchables is a film based on true events. It's about a friendship of a disabled milionaire and a young man on income support. The're the opposite of each other , one's young and healthy whereas the other one is old and paralyzed. The action takes place in Paris. Driss(Omar Sy) comes from a poor family and has many sad life experiences.

Philipe (francois Cluzet) needed someone to take care of him and keep him company. Driss wasn't at all similar to Philipes other "nannies" as he didn't show pity, he treated him like a colleague not like someone sick. He could make fun of him  and treat him any differently.

I think this movie is definitely worth watching. It's not only humorous but also uplifting and gives you belife in human nature.

    Me before you

If you like romantic drama movies this is for you. I liked this movie a lot. There was just enough romantic and drama and if you are sensitive you might cry. This movie has come out in 2016. It first was a book written by Jojo Moyes, but now it is a movie, too. Lead roles are performed by Emilia Clarke (Lou Clark) and Sam Claflin (William Traynor).

    Rate 4/5

You have to watch this movie!

An observation of the author John Ajvide Lindquist inclusive of his oeuvre, background and basic personal information written for the eTwinning-project:
    Author: Sebastian Kreft

John Ajvide Lindquist is a 49 year old, Swedish-born writer specializing in horror novels and other short stories that primarily fall under the category of "magic realism". He's the author of many indelible works, such as 'Låt den rätte komma in' [Let the right one in], 'Hanteringen av odöda' [Handling the undead] and 'Människohamn' [Harbour] known by most Swedish people who engage in the perusal of literature. His style of writing and humor is rather macabre (something that has earned him quite a reputation among his readers) and near disturbing to read at times- yet that is exactly what make his books so bewildering and interesting to indulge in. He's heavily influenced by Morrissey and Steven King, and has so far produced ten individual publications.
Before becoming a published writer he practiced as a stand-up comedian and magician for twelve years, and as an adolescent he was strongly involved with the association 'Svensk Magisk Cirkel' [Swedish Magic Circle], which he's described as "the first place where I felt a sense of community and made friends on my own". Growing up he was subjected to much bullying and harassment, and further contributing to this tragic childhood experience is the fact that his father drowned while out fishing in 1998. Both these things seem to have made vast impressions on his writing, as his main characters are often depicted as underdogs or lone wolfs and water described by him as a horrific, sinister force. One is only left to wonder if the fact that he's undergone most of what he portrays is what makes him such an astounding author; a supposition i feel is accurate.

To conclude this (awfully short) article: He is one of the few truly great Swedish authors I've ever encountered, and well deserving of all the recognition he's acquired. I can only hope that he'll continue contributing to the literature-community of this country in the future, as his handiwork have brought me and many others admirers of his wordsmith genius a great deal of joy.

    Sabaton 24th February, 2017 Helsinki

    Concert review

I went to a concert in Helsinki 24th of February to hear Sabaton’s performance at Helsingin Jäähalli. Sabaton were the main artist but there were an old heavy metal legend Accept as a warm-up band to it. Twilight Force named band were there too but we don’t talk about it. The concert was part of Sabaton’s “The Last Stand” tour which is their new album that was released in 2016.

The concert started with TwilightForce, but my train was late so I didn’t have the time to listen to it. I got there just as they stopped playing. I was with my sister’s aunt because he lives in Helsinki and he liked Accept and came with me. It was funny to him because he remembers going to a concert where Accept were the main band.

So Accept’s performance was solid and they were doing the normal things, mixing classic music in the middle of their songs. Listening to one of their songs: “I don’t remember this being here…” * Für Elise playing *

Then began the main thing what everyone was waiting for, SABATON. They start the concert with Ghost Division which is their best song in my opinion. They start almost every one of their performances with it. After that they just go over their best songs and it was the best. I was so hyped for it. And it was worth it. The best concert I have been to.

Sabaton is a Swedish Heavy/Power metal band. It was founded in 1999. They have made nine albums in that time. The last album was “The Last Stand” which that tour was about. Their best songs are: Ghost Division, The Lost Battalion, Night Witches, Primo Victoria, Soldier of 3 Armies and Carolus Rex. Their songs tell about historical events and battles. Primo Victoria, for example, is about Normandy’s landing and Soldier of 3 Armies about Lauri Törni who was a Finnish soldier who was in 3 different armies.

Sabaton is an amazing live band and their songs sounds great on CDs or Spotify etc, too and I recommend him to everyone who likes a little bit heavier stuff :)

    K-POP

K-pop means Korean popular music. Korean pop culture (often referred to as hallyu or the Korean wave) has gained popularity across Asia and all over the world. Genres in K-pop are: rap/R&B, hip hop, cute Asian bubble-gum pop, electronic, rock, Korean traditional ballads and many other.

In Korea singers usually works under of some entertainment companies. Before they become singers they have to go to auditions. Entertainment companies arrange auditions where they choose best singers, rappers and dancers. If they choose you, you become a trainee where you learn singing, dancing and other important things that idols need to know.

In Korea almost all singers can dance. Singers have choreographies for their songs. In performances idols sing and dance at the same time. Usually the dance is also in the music videos.

In Korea the singers are usually placed in groups. K-pop idols spend a lot of time together with their own group. They go to interviews, performances and TV show appearances together. So It is easier that they live together with their group members in a dorm. But there are solo singers, too.

Most famous groups at the time:

    Bigbang

Sometimes groups break down or some members can leave the group. There are a few idols who started solo career after leaving the group.

    Being  a K-pop fan

When I started listening to  K-pop and I got in to fandoms my life changed a lot. I can support my favorite K-pop groups and singers and I have found so many new friends. But being  a K-pop fan isn’t always easy. As an international fan (non Korean) I don’t understand the language and I have to wait always subtitles to all videos. Fortunately in nowadays idols notice more also international fans. But still I can’t go to concerts or fan meetings where I want because I live in such a small country where is performed only few groups.

But after all being K-pop fan is the best thing ever.
