Dear students,
The issue of our choices that burden the environment is always a topical issue and our food choices are involved between these. We come together to help you be equipped with the necessary information, and knowledge on food systems so as to understand the link between your food choices and climate change and act as responsible citizens. We are going to cover technological, economic, ecological and social aspects related to food systems (production, processing, packaging, distribution, retailing, consumption, etc) so to develop competences in various sustainability-relevant sectors.
As we believe that learning about food systems-related issues must be reformulating following disciplines to a new perspective on what constitutes both a healthy diet and a sustainable food system, you'll move beyond facts and figures and try to reason all those you develop.
Thus your mission on this initial module is to imagine that you are going to organise a campaign in your community in order to help the citizens link their food choices to the economic, social and environmental dimensions of food systems.
Feel free to choose any kind of material you'll use for your campaign but all the information you collect, and your products will also be included to a common e-magazine.
We'll implement joint cross-curricular activities in national and trasnational teams, based to the following webquest.
