30th School of Pireus

  •

At the second approach, we amalgamated the two groups (3rd grade and 4th-grade students) to work in a common cognitive umbrella. We made good use of Global Children's day on the 20th of November to develop our educational procedure and we combined it with module 16 (3rd-grade textbook) and module 13 (4th-grade textbook) of the Greek language lesson.

Global Children's day on the 20th of November

For the activity, we focus on the poster of UNICEF, which refers to the rights of children.

Step 1: We put the poster on the whiteboard and discuss each right separately. We explain the concept of the word " Rights" and "Obligations" by referring examples.

Step 2: We create 4 groups of children and we ask each group to choose a right without revealing it. Then we give each group, A4 paper. Children have to sketch the chosen right without words.

Step 3: We play the game. Each group shows to the others its picture and motivates them to find the right in which it may refer to. If children don't find it, the group gives the first letter of the name of the right by using lego.  Each group has three attempts in order to guess the right.
