Virtual Activities in replacement of the Physical Mobility to Estonia - 27th of October to the 27th of November 2020: “Democracy, Environment, Science and Technology”

Due the Contingency Plans in each country and different periods of some classes with online schooling and/or school lockdowns in the project schools, the Virtual Activities organised by the Estonian Partner had to take place over a longer period (24 weekdays) for students and teachers to be able to fit the activities into the schools’ schedules and to be able to work accordingly, alongside all the pandemic constraints.

The Virtual Activity Programme was carefully elaborated by the host school so that students could benefit as much as possible within the Activity theme – "Democracy, Environment, Science and Technology".

In all 4 schools, the Virtual Activities have increased the participating students’ digital skills and have developed the students’ capacity for remote studies.

Although Virtual Activities cannot allow the participants to fully accomplish the project aims, they were interesting, allowing both students and teachers to work at their own pace and participating students benefited from them.

In addition, the longer period of time available to participate in the Virtual Activities helped participating students to fully understand the content of the activities, familiarise themselves with the host country and work, revise and search on the basis of the material provided by the Estonian partners. Due to the lack of contact with their fellow colleagues from the partner schools, the participating students assumed full responsibility of implementing the Virtual Activities successfully, which added to their self-confidence and maturity.

After the 27th of November, students evaluated the activities and the project.
