Project 5: Bezier Art

  • Project : Letters with Bezier tool

    The tool is phantastic and can be used to create smoth curves. 

    My students grade 5 and 6 cannot really understand the mathematical construction behind the Bezier curves of 3rd order but they like it to create organic shapes e.g. letters, teddy bears , leafs, ...

    As we could not find out the author of the tool we will mention the unknown creator at each GeoGebra page that we create by using this tool. You can find this tool in Material -> TS -> ame bezier.zip.

    First trial of  recording the geometry behind the algorithm of de Casteljau in order to create a Bezier curve of second degree.(Monika, GER)

    There is a good description of Bezier curves of 2nd or 3rd oder and the algorithm (for older students).

    PI with Beziers

    We used Bezier tool to create the letter PI. The background (rectangle) was a picture of number PI. We have put in to Paint program to make the background totally black.(Monika)
