  • Student assessment of the 1st project year

My name is Sara Krpan, I'm 14 years old and I come from Croatia.

This year I went to Poland with the Erasmus+ program, "Sustainability - everyone's responsibility" project. I had the time of my life in Poland and tried so many different and interesting the best part is that I met some really amazing people that I'm going to remember till the end of my life. I also learnt a lot of new things such as learning to use 2.0 web tools, improving my English and becoming aware of  culture and I helped others by passing my onto them and I made a video about saving the Earth and renewable energy sources. All in all, I  those who never got a chance to be Erasmus+ and all of these amazing things. I can't imagine my life without the memories I've made in this project and how different my life would be if I never lived through these moments.

Mia Kutleša, I am 15 years old and I am from Croatia, Zagreb.

This year I went to Poland. It was great. I met lots of amazing people and saw lots of beautiful places.

Kalisz is a beautiful city and the oldest in Poland with amazing history and culture. People in are really nice and welcoming.

I liked everything we had great and saw beautiful places in Poland.

I loved visiting Torun and Wroclaw.

I about Polish culture and also learnt about 2.0 web tools.

I love being a part of erasmus+ project and I am that got to see beautiful places and meet amazing people I am going to remember.

I also think is to learn about saving planet space and lots of other important things that we don't learn about in school.

    Niki Paleka, 14

This project I learned a lot, as a matter of much more than I thought I would. I learned things I did not know about our planet and how should we treat it. I also learned how to use programs like and how to program in general. I think contributed to this project by making presentations, posters and coming to Erasmus meetings. I also went to Poland where I presented a presentation about renewable energy in Croatia. In Poland I meet quite a lot of other students and became great friends with them. I learned about their school system, and culture, people were so sweet and welcoming. What I loved the most about student exchange was meeting new people, I believe it also helped my English. Last year I was in France on a project about Mars, I had an amazing time there and I am really excited for the end of March to see some of them again. Erasmus is a great project for students to develop better and speaking skills and also learn about cultures. I would love to participate in a similar program in high school.

    Zoe Gamulin, 14

In my Erasmus+ project – „Sustainability – Everyone's Responsibility“ I learned a lot about sustainable energy sources and how we use them, about problems in our society revolving around unsustainable energy sources, how to become more aware of them and how I can start being eco-friendly and be proactive as an individual. I practiced speaking English with my friends other countries.

In each activity I participated in, I always tried my best to get the most out of them because I learned the benefit of using sustainable energy sources for our Earth. With that, I created a logo for the project and made an animated video about the importance of sustainability in our society and for the Earth with my friends.

Last year I went on a student exchange in Catania, Sicily for the Full STEAM Ahead project, and this I visited the Azores in Portugal. Both locations were a wonderful place to visit as a tourist, but I also loved learning about the project during the school hours.

In Portugal I, of course, loved seeing the beautiful nature and landscape of a such unique part of the Earth, tasting their amazing traditional dishes and getting to know the Azorean way of living. But I also found the we had in very interesting to experience; we went on a short boat cruise around the nearest islands, visited a wind turbine, Algar do Carvão, workshops in school and many other fun

I loved the whole project because I learned many interesting facts and met so many amazing people that I'll never forget. I will continue to participate in future projects because I loved the past two so much.

    Joshua Bobo Marčeta, 14

I've learned a lot about the natural sources of energy and how important they are for our Earth. I think everyone should respect them. I also learned to work  programs like "Canva"I made a presentation about geothermal energy and I drew a logo that  entered the competition for the best one. I went to Portugal on Terceira Island. It is a small island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. We visited the cave, the volcano, the wind power plant and the geothermal power plant. I found a lot of new friends. I  liked the most  when we visited the museum of I also liked it when we got to know the school through the project is very good because we are learning and exploring I recommend everyone if they are interested in something about energy sources to join this group.

    Lucija Perica, 7.b

In this project I learned to speak English better and about of others countries. I also mastered to use Genially and for the first time I was present on the a video conference with Portugal and Poland. I think my fear of camera disappeared when we were making for other students to know each other better. I started using TwinSpace and our special department of Now I use them regularly and know what do other countries students do in their project. I think I contribute this project by describing and “reporting” things we as doing our video, communicating with other countries and doing projects and posters. I also did project about famous people of Portugal and Poland and did a presentation about solar energy. I wrote an article about Anti-Bullying Shirt Day) informing others about the story about the boy who were bullied. Last year I Sicily and I am really excited about my trip to France because I really enjoyed my last trip. I absolutely loved the activities other students made for my favorite part was making activities. I think Erasmus+ program is a great way for children of my age to see other countries and meet other cultures

    Ivor Leskovar, 13

In this project I learned a lot of new thinks about renewable energy sources. I started to get confident in my English knowledge and I learned how to use and TwinSpace. I made a presentation about water (renewable energy source) and also I made a presentation about the project and presented it to other students in my school. I filled a Google poll  and communicated on with students from different countries. I went on a student exchange in Azores, Portugal. That was very nice experience. We learned about wind  as a renewable energy source and we went to the wind farm. We also learned about geothermal energy and we went to the geothermal station. We learned about whales and we went on a boat trip. We learned something about Portuguese culture and we visited a lot of museums. The best thing about the project was the fact that we made a lot of new friends and we are still in contact with them and next year they are coming to Croatia. This project and generally Erasmus + programs  are a very good way to learn about things important in life. I love this project because I have a lot of fun in our Erasmus + group, I learned a lot of new stuff and I met a lot of new people.

    Petra Pšeničnik, 14

In the first year of this Erasmus + project I learned a lot of new things about renewable energy sources and how to use them. I also learned about sustainability in general, how to use new web tools and how to communicate on TwinSpace and I contributed to the project by making different PowerPoint and Genially presentations, making a Google poll about the mobility in Portugal, communicating with other students on TwinSpace, making posters about Portuguese culture, writing an article on Croatian National Parks and I also introduced this project to other students in my school. This April I went on a student exchange in Azores, Portugal. There we learned a lot of new things about whales, geothermal energy, wind energy and Portuguese culture. We also visited geothermal and wind energy stations, a lot of monuments and museums and caves. My favorite activity in Portugal was the boat trip on Monday and the trip to Mount Brasil on Wednesday. I also made new friends from France, Finland, Poland and Portugal. I also participated in the project last was about Mars and I went to Sicily, Italy. Erasmus+ projects in general leave you wanting more knowledge because you learn through fun activities, not to mention that you also acquire a lot of life skills during the project. I will continue to participate in Erasmus + projects during and probably in high school too. I recommend to everyone to get involved with this kind of projects because they are fun, full of new positive experiences and they are all about meeting people from other countries and learning about their cultures.

    Katarina Madunić, 14

In this project I learned about other countries and their . I tried to work in TwinSpace and improved my English. I've learned a lot about renewable energy sources and what they are used for. I learned to talk to people and be a bit more carefree. I contributed to the project by doing the presentation, compiling the games and working on posters about other countries. I wrote an article about how we celebrated the Day of the Pink T-Shirts and so helped others by finding out what it was. In a last project I was Sicily in Catania on a student exchange. It was pretty amazing and I cannot wait for another one in October. In Catania I saw a famous volcano Etna and I think it's so cool. In France, where I'm going to in October, I'm excited meeting new friends and get to know all the culture of France. About the activities in Catania, I liked the museums and the stuff we did in their school because I had the chance to get know all about Italy and culture and I'm very thankful for that. I think that Erasmus+ project is very useful and great thing to do when you are younger and much better when you are a little bit older because you get to know more people and see other countries. I recommend it to all people because what I said already (you get to know more people and see other countries and their cultures). I hope I will participate in any kind of Erasmus+ project because I think it's a great thing and it's very fun.

    Mara Kuharić, 7.b

In this project I learned about different countries, their cultures, renewable energy sources and I was included in a video conference. We also learned about bullying and how effects on your confidence. On May 17 we celebrated Pink Shirt Day which is meant to remind us to stop bullying. I contributed this project by going regularly to E- Rasmus class every week, by doing all the task I was given like presentations, doing posters and making games. I go anywhere in this I' m looking forward to the trip to France in October. I think that Erasmus is a great project for young students because we get to learn so much about other countries and we get a chance to communicate and met people all over Europe. I would recommend this project to all.

    Lucija Vrkljan Fučec, 13

From this project I have learned to take responsibility, improve my communication skills, be a part of team and help the environment in every way that I can. It also helped me improve my English language skills. I think I contributed to this project by participation in group projects and being open to the ideas of your teammates. I am going on a student exchange in France and I am very exited about it. It seems very interesting, educational and fun. I am especially overjoyed that we are going to visit Paris, the capital of France. I am also very cheerful to meet new people. I would recommend Erasmus+ to everyone interested in communication, team work and meeting new cultures and people. I am sure that I will continue being a part of Erasmus+ in middle school because I think that the organisation is very educational.

    Fuad Ahmetašević, 13 y.o.

In this year of student exchange we got to discuss about sustainability of natural recources. Croatia is participating in this project together with France, Finland, Poland and Portugal. We learned how to preserve and save energy and we are trying to convince and help other people to understand why it is important. I got to see some of Polands most historic cities such as Wrocław and Torun and see some museums like The House of Nicolaus Copernicus and Hidropolis. We also made and baked Toruns famous gingerbread and got see how they were made. The thing I liked the most is the hospitality and the personalities of the teachers, students and my hosts. I made memories and friendships that are going to last my whole life.

    Lucija Tolj 13 y.o.

In this project i learned that sustainability is the avoidance of depletion of natural resources in order to maintain an ecological balance.

I contributed to the project by trying to show people why saving energy is important and convincing them into it.

I haven’t been yet, but i’m going to Chartes, France. I can’t wait and am extremely excited!

I think what im going to like best is if we go to Paris.

I definetely recommend Erasmus+ programme and i’m very glad to participate!

    Annalena Krnjak 13 y.o.

Assessment of my 1st project year

In the 1st project I learned something about the renewable energy sources, the culture of other countries, how to use eTwinning and TwinSpace and a lot of other things. I made a game and I presented it when I was in France. This year I made a presentation about Croatia, but I did not present it. This year I was in Poland with a welcoming family. It was fun and I really liked it there! I enjoyed to be there and I was so sad when I had to go home. I liked every second there and the people were very nice. I liked everything what we were doing, but the best thing was when we went to the House of Nicolaus Copernicus. I really like Erasmus+ and I recommend it to other schools who like travelling and want to learn to communicate and speak a foreign language. I would like to participate in it in high school, too.

    Luka Broz, 14

In this project I learned a lot about reusable energy sources and about the importance of implementing them into everyday life. About how non renewable energy sources affect us and why they should be replaced. Also, I learned how other countries use reusable energy sources.

This year I voiced a short-animated movie about reusable energy sources made by me and my friends. I made presentations and posters about some countries in the project. Also, by attending workshops in Portugal I contributed to this project

I visited Terceira, Portugal. It was a both fun and educational trip. The nature on the island is beautiful and I loved visiting the attractions both on and off shore. I loved the boat ride to Ilhéus de Cabras. Every little workshop and trip was equally as fun though. The people were great and it was an all in all an amazing experience.

I loved being a part of this project because of how much I learned and because I had a lot of fun meeting new people and visiting other countries. This project is great for people who want to practice their communication skills. I hope I will still be a part of the project when I start high school.
