    National park "Brijuni"

    Brijuni Islands are a group of fourteen small islands in the Croatian part of the northern Adriatic Sea.On the island "Veliki Brijuni" there are about 600 indigenous plant species.

    Plitvice Lakes National Park

    In 1979, Plitvice Lakes National Park was added to the UNESCO World Heritage register.

    The park is heavily forested, mainly with beech, spruce, and fir trees,but it's also a home to an extremely wide variety of animal and bird species.

    National Park "Paklenica"

    The Paklenica karst river canyon is a national park in Croatia.

    Over 40 species of amphibians and reptiles are found, the endangered Orsini's viper is a highlight.The wealth of flora is reflected in the list of 1,000 plant species and subspecies.

    National Park "Risnjak"

    It is located in Gorski kotar, the most mountainous and heavily forested region of the country.

    The park is home to mammals such as the brown bear, red deer, roe deer, chamois, wild boar, wolf, pine marten, stone marten, badger, weasel, squirrel and dormouse.

    National park "Kornati"

    It's located in the northern part of Dalmatia, south from Zadar and west from Šibenik.

    Apart from sea-gulls there are some lizards and ring-snakes and also 70 species of butterflies.There have been 200 known varieties of Mediterranean plants, but they have degenerated.

    National park "Krka"

    It's located along the middle-lower course of the Krka River in central Dalmatia.

    The park s the home to eight hundred and sixty species and subspecies of plants.There are twenty species of fish and almost three hundred species of birds.

    National park "Mljet"

    Mljet was discovered by ancient Greco-Romanian geographers.

    You can visit the Mljet National Park by boat from Dubrovnik, Split and Pelješac.

    There are 26 species of mammals and there are a lot of species of lizards and snakes in the park.

    National park "Sjeverni Velebit"

    It's located in the northern region of Velebit.

    There are more than a hunderd species of birds and more than 20 species of lizards.In the park there are more than 400 species of plants.
