MONDAY – 13.05. 2019
On this day teachers as well as the students had the chance to sightsee the school premises, visit the classes and have a talk with the headmasters of the school.
During a presentation at the gym all of the participants had a chance to be acquainted with Polish culture, language and famous people in order to share some cultural heritage. What is more, the participants had the chance to experience students' artistic work – foreign language movies. Additionally, they danced some traditional Polish dances. In the afternoon all the participants went for a trip around Kalisz in an old vintage bus, in order to share some information about the old cultural heritage and the oldest city in Poland.
TUESDAY – 14.05. 2019
During Tuesday we travelled to a beautiful city of Wrocław. The students had the chance to sightsee the most important parts of the city, see its architecture and experience its culture. After that visit all the students had the opportunity to play with some interactive exhibits and understand the importance of water supplies and its industrial usage in Hydropolis - a place where diverse multimedia technologies, interactive installations, faithful replicas and models, as well as touch screens providing extensive information, serve one purpose - to show water from various fascinating perspectives.
WEDNESDAY – 15.05. 2019
On this day students travelled to Torun and visited the Młyn Wiedzy which was an interactive science museum. They were able to experience and learn laws of physics and other STEM subjects by using multimedia technologies and their creative skills. During this day they also had the chance to visit the down town of the amazing city of tour, learn some vital information about it e.g. to their surprise that it was the birth place of Copernicus or the fact that it has one of the planetariums in Europe. What is more, the personally could experience some elements of culture heritage by making their own gingerbread cookies during a workshop.
THURSDAY – 16.05. 2019
This was the day devoted to school work, where the participants build a model of their own windmill power plant, took part in a workshop concerning WEB 2.0 tools, namely emaze and animoto or produced an interactive program in Scratch with a relation to renewable energy sources and a math lesson devoted to calculation with the environmentally friendly themed tasks. In the afternoon the students could integrate some more while taking part in a disco which was coundected and prepared by other students. Additionally, the students created an ecofriendly outfit or one of the local monuments from provided materials.
FRIDAY – 17.05. 2019
This day was devoted to two main events. The first one involved a visit to local authorities, namely the president. The students had the chance to share their impressions about the city, visited school or Polish culture. The President told them also about plans to make the city of Kalisz more environmentally friendly by refunding the exchange of old charcoal burner into modern gas ones, as well as, cofounding the solar panels installation within private owners of various buildings. They visited a waterpipe company too, in order to find out what is the process of municipal water management.
