Croatian students awareness campaign (April, 2019)

The group of eight graders supported The school strike for climate physically. It is an international movement of school students who participate in demonstrations to demand action to prevent further global warming and climatechange. Two weeks later, with the support of a group of teachers and the school’s principal, they organise a presentation about global warming for all school students from sixth, seventh and eighth class and teachers. Students talked about their impressions while they were a part of the demonstrations. The principal introduced the word ACTIVISM to other students and explained why is youth activism now more crucial than ever. The English teacher and the students introduced some activities they plan to prepare and conduct in the next months, and they have invited other classes to join them. The first step is to reduce the use of plastic at our school and homes and to reuse the plastic we collect.
