7th of June 2019, we were taken by a teacher, directly from the hotel and headed to the school where we were going to carry out the program.
The reception was a special one, emotions when reviewing with the other members of the Erasmus program in the other countries.
This mobility was not with children from any country, only teachers participating, being a meeting for the management and implementation of the project.
The official reception was made in the school's hall of festivities, the artistic moment being an exceptional one, a very well thought out and organized moment, attended by teachers and children. It was a welcome show where the director's speech, songs and a musical theatre scene "Mary Poppins" were found.
We visited the school, the classes, the administrative offices, the gymnasium, the canteen, the playgrounds, the school yard, but also the other module buildings that belonged to the school, as well as the small vegetable garden of the school.
On that day, an activity with the children took place in the school yard, attended by all the parents of the students, an event outside the Erasmus project, a project of sports activities by different age groups and workshops, very well received in the local community.
We were particularly impressed with two modules that represented classes for children who had behavioural problems, school adaptation, children who had a different learning rhythm, classes that prepared students for integration into the community.
We attended several hours of training at several levels of education, we discussed the integration and inclusion of children with special needs, we were also presented with the education system in Northern Ireland.
According to the program, we participated in an extremely interesting activity, a visit to The Giants Causeway.
The second day of mobility, 8th of June.2019, I attended a session of two group meetings, in the ICT lab of the school, where we developed the Erasmus mobility strategy. We discussed about the meeting in Sweden, we established the date of the final meeting, the one in the Netherlands, current problems of organization, feedback on mobility in Romania, the short and long term action plan, issues to be followed in the next mobility and clear work tasks. for each country, organization and completion on the official website of the work platform.
The learning activities in Romania and the Netherlands were also evaluated.
In the afternoon, we were taken on a walking tour of Derry, with an authorized tour guide.
We visited the Citadel from the historical part of the city, so we found out about the troubled history of the places, we also had a tour of the mural paintings in the city, true works of art that symbolize the struggle for freedom, a special place of attraction being Free Derry Corner.
In the evening we attended the official dinner, in a traditional Irish Pub, where besides the local specific food, we took part in a show of Irish songs and dances.
The last working day, 9th of June 2019, was an exciting one, participating in a local holiday, a milestone day in the local community, Sunday service, organized at the church.
The atmosphere was friendly, warm, a good working one.
