As explained in a former post the students who visited the sailboat Astral were all very impressed by the dramatic stories that the volunteeers of the non-profit organitzation Proactiva Open Arms shared with us and the students decided to organize a school campaigh to collect practical and simple food, easy to preserve and transport, such as cereal bars, rice biscuits and raw rice packages that the organization could use in their next rescue missions.

The initiative was very welcome among our school community and the solidarity campaign for Proactiva Open Arms was a success. For a few weeks we put up containers in the school entrance and everybody contributed generously. We were very proud to deliver all the collected food to the non-profit organization.
