5.3. A workshop on creative writing: Oulipo, Oplepo and the art of playing with words

  • On Thursday 12th April a group of students of our school participated in a workshop on a very special kind of writing, which consists in creating works using constrained techniques. The workshop was held by Raffaele Aragona and Paolo Albani, Italian writers and members of Oplepo, the Italian equivalent of the French literary movement Oulipo ("Ouvroir de Littérature Potentielle"), founded by Raymond Queneau, Georges Perec, Italo Calvino and others writers in the '60. The workshop has been a funny and interesting way to play with language and words and to discover that history of our culture could be anything but boring.

Our YEurope participant Alejandro, whom you are going to meet in Tallinn, designed the beautiful poster of the workshop.

In the picture you see Arianna reading her text. She is coming to Tallinn too.
