It was a new experience to have A Peace Day in January. Because all the students and the stuff are Evangelical Lutherans we got to know the Pope's letter for this Peace Day first. After discussing about the letter and the subjects in it, we decided to make posters against loneliness and bullying: Be sisters and brothers!

Peace Day slogans were prepared in each class of our school during Polish language lessons in January 2015 (in Polish of course). Then the best ones were choosen and translated into English by our students. Next made into posters. We hope you'll enjoy them :-)

On Friday 30th January we celebrated PEACE DAY at school.  Each class prepared a poster in Spanish with a slogan and on PEACE DAY two students per class show the poster and say the slogan to the rest of the students. We also wrote some peace messages and wrote them in a paper chain.  In the afternoon we got together in the playground and we had fun singing a PEACE song.

 

Some classes do some work in English.  This is a very nice video with the posters done by year 5.

We used Microsoft word and Microsoft publisher to create posters for World Peace Day, We focussed on slavery and learned how this still happens today.
