Geometric pattern from Villa Urbana (part 1)

    In this page, there is a presentation of the steps that the students followed in order to identify and reproduce the patterns of a mosaic floor which is exhibited in the Archaeological Museum of Patras. First, the students observed the mosaic (the Greek students visited it at the local museum while the others used their photos in the Material section). Then they chose the right grid from the ones given in the page 'Geometric constructions and patterns' with the guidance of their teachers. They reproduced the pattern on the grid and then used Geogebra.After this stage, they worked on the task sheet presented in the page 'The mosaic of the 'Three Graces' and geometry activities' in their transnational groups.
