Greek "Europass" workshop

  • On Thursday November 17th 2016 the Greek team organized a “Europass workshop”. All the students participating at the Erasmus project gathered at the computer lab of our school in order to be informed what Europass is and to start its implementation.

The Greek professor, Nezi Maria, introduced  Europass as the initiative proposed by the European Union aiming to help people make their skills and qualifications clearly and easily understood in Europe, thus facilitating the mobility of both learners and workers. She showed the webpage http://www.europass.ie/europass/index.html where someone can find all related info and she explained that Europass consists of a portfolio of five documents. Two documents which individuals complete independently, their Europass Curriculum Vitae (CV) and their Europass Language Passport. And three documents which are completed / provided by organisations: Europass Mobility,  the Europass Certificate Supplement and the Europass Diploma Supplement.

After this introduction, the Greek professor Zalavra Eleni filled in, as an example, her online Europass CV focusing on its design in such a way as to help people chronicle their skills and competences in a coherent manner, whether they are planning to enroll in an education or training programme, looking for a job, or getting experience abroad. After filling it in she showed how it can be saved in order to be continued later on.

After that, the students started their own Europass CV and they filled in as many parts as they could in regards to their personal data as well as their education. They expressed their approval for the standardization that this tool provides and for the opportunity to constantly update it.
