On October 2015 a group of Greek students who were entitled to explore different varieties of apples organized an "apple tasting" event. A couple of days before that, they visited a local supermarket where they discovered many varieties of apples and assumed the responsibility to search and gather information about them. At the "apple tasting" event they brought apples of eight different varieties: Starking Delicious Zagorin, Gala, Grany Smith,  Golden Delicious, Firiki , Ananasrenette , Fuji and Jonag Gold , which they carefully cut in order to put them in platters. They decorated each platter with a small streamer which carried the name of each variety and , then the Greek team altogether tasted each one of them getting suprised by the discovery of new flavours.

All in all , the apple is a unique fruit which can be really fascinating due to its extraordinary attributes such as his red , green or even yellow peel as well as its thick or soft texture. Obviously, an apple can hide pleasant surprises!
