Theoretical physicist Juraj Tekel

  • On 15th of November 2021 six of our classes could sit at the lecture of a theoretical physicist Mgr. Juraj Tekel, PhD from the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics at Comenius University Bratislava, Slovakia

Youngest students from the first grade at secondary school had a lecture about the properties of time and space, Older students, from the second grade at secondary school had a lecture "The history and structure of universe" and the oldest students, from the third grade at secondary school had a lecture "The atomic physics from A to Z".

    What is space

At yesterday's presentation, I liked that Mr Tekel showed us that what space is and that there is no place in space where there is a perfect vacuum, because we cannot pinpoint the position of all the particles in space.

It was new knowledge and fun

The lecture was interesting, we learned new things from physics. The approach of the lecturer was quite good, informative and a little fun
    Adam

    We don´t know a lot

I liked the description of the various physical theories and their differences. I was interested in how many things we don't know in physics yet.
    Barbora

    Theory of everything

I learnt that it is difficult to combine two theories of physics - theory of gravitation and quantum theory of the smallest elements of matter
    Alex

    Black holes

I liked black holes the most. When the energy was too great, a black hole was created
    Matej

    Smaller than protons and neutrons

At the lecture, I liked that it was quite funny, but also intelligent and interesting. I liked the part about quarks and their colours.
