  • Pilsen region

This region is the third largest region in the Czech Republic. It is located in the south-western part of the Czech Republic and it has good strategic locations in connection between the east and west of Europe. It has a border for example with the German land Bavaria. The main centre of the region is Pilsen.  Pilsen is very industrial and it  became world famous for making beer (Pilsner Urquel). In the past a part of Pilsen region was in the area called Sudetenland because a big number of  German inhabitants lived there.
