Check them out as you embark on a trip to Bressuire a town in the Deux-Sèvres department in France with its two buildings of interest: the church of Notre-Dame, which, dating chiefly from the 12th and 15th centuries, has an imposing tower of the Renaissance period; and the castle, built by the lords of Beaumont, vassals of the viscount of Thouars.

Then head to Kaiserslautern a city in southwest Germany, located in the Bundesland (State) of Rhineland-Palatinate, a modern centre of information and communications technology with its well-known university, a technical college and many international research institutes located throughout the city; the town-hall is one of the tallest buildings in the region, and their Japanese-style botanical gardens are worth a visit.

Heading further east you find Stříbro a town in the Plzeň Region of the Czech Republic which derives its name from silver, which used to be mined there. The town is located on the Mže river in the west of the historic Bohemia region, some 25 km to the west from the region capital of Plzeň.

On the southern part of Europe lies Lechena, a town of the municipality of Andravida-Kyllini mostly known for its notable Greek novelist Andreas Karkavitsas and the Kotychi-lagoon, a protected wetland area recognized by the Ramsar Convention.
