Geothermal energy

  • Let's get to know some facts about ...

    Geothermal energy

A simple example to demonstrate thermal energy. The air in a can of soda is heated, transformed into steam and moves the blades of the mill.

We use holograms to make objects live and present different types of energy. We are impressed by th possibilities which modern technology gives us today! We love holograms and have a lot of fun while doing them!

Subject: We are building a geothermal power plant - competition for the best MINECRAFT building.

Lesson objective was familiarizing students with the possibilities offered by the use of renewable energy sources, including energy from the inside of the Earth.

The work had to be done and then filmed by the members of the MINECRAFT building group. During the lesson, the students were required to "show" viewers, i.e. their friends and colleagues, about their investment. An additional difficulty was the need to describe the individual elements of the infrastructure around the volcano and explain how the power plant operates.

There was no shortage of innovative solutions and a non-standard approach to solving the problems encountered. All the projects turned out to be very creative and inventive, sometimes even surprising with their solutions. You could see that the students had a good time working together.

    LABORATORY LESSON ONLINE

The Polish students attended a laboratory lesson online concerning gepthermal energy. The workshop was conducted by dr. Magdalena Osial - academic lecturer at the Department of Chemistry of the University of Warsaw as well as a student of XXXV General Secondary School named after Boleslaw Prus in Warsaw– Magdalena Bakon who presented some important facts on the theme of Uniejow geothermal energy. She touched on, among other things, the production of heat, thermal water and its use. Mrs Osial presented the laboratory where the scientists tested the materials taken from Uniejow. The students participaed in the discussion and brainstormed their ideas related to the use of geothermal energy.

A ROBOT OF OUR OWN INVENTION

We use LEGO EV3 sets to construct, program and steer robots of our own ideas. We use creativeness and innovativeness to create our amazing models!

This robot demonstrates the technology of drilling holes with the irradiation method. The robot uses special UV lights to crack the boulders and stones for ideal place to collect geothermal energy. It is our  vision of the future robot.
