Grow your own food

  • Cyprus - Special Education Needs class

The SEN class builds their own greenhouse and cultivates their own bio vegetables.

24.1.2020: we grow vegetables in our little greenhouse

Our mini greenhouse allows us to grow our favorite flowers, vegetables, and herbs all year long. Greenhouse provide seedlings and plants with warmth in the winter.

Students of 6th grade planted traditional seeds of tomato, pepper, zucchini, cucumber and eggplant in to individual plug trays. They  planted two seeds  per cell

When these seedlings produce their first set of true leaves, they will be ready to harden off and plant outdoors, weather permitting. Otherwise, we will transplant them into larger containers so they can continue to grow.

Students will keep a diary where they will note the growth of each plant
