Biodiversity STEM activitity with 3rd class from School Elena Doamna, Romania

Students using double magnifying glasses, and large magnifying glasses, followed the insects in their natural living environment, on the ground, on the plants, on the trees. Then with tweezers they put them in the double magnifying glass to analyze them more carefully. They identified their component parts and completed an investigation form. I analyzed what they eat, how active they are in the natural environment but also captive. Because our investigation may have caused them stress, we built them insect hotels that we placed in the school yard. In the classroom STEM activity continued with the realization of insects using legowedoo and ozobot. The students worked in groups and made very beautiful projects.

6th graders get familiar with herbs and spices. They see, smell, taste them and, above all, realize their usefulness in cooking as well as their unique beneficial properties in our health. They also learn to distinguish dangerous chemicals, as aroma substitutes or flavor enhancers in packaged foods that are also their usual dietary choice
