It's a pity but there are also cons of living by the sea. Sometimes storms and melting ice flood the houses near the shore. Some ships defy the law and pollute the sea of Azov so there are days when people even cannot swim. The metallurgical plant creates slag mountains on the seashore and it also pollutes the sea and the air. (So, in the picture the mountains are not natural, they were created by these plants.) As a result many people have respiratory deseases in spyte of living by the sea.

- There is a lot of humidity, which makes the thermal sensation colder in winter and hotter in summer.
-Turism in the summer times, can be very stressful, but if you can cope with that you should be fine.
-There are a lot of mosquitos due to humidity and you can be ill if some mosquito is contagious.
-It usually doesn’t rain, and when it rains it does it with too much strengh.

Drawbacks of living by the sea in Guadeloupe French West Indies

Living close to the ocean can be dangerous sometimes because of hurricanes and heavy tropical rains from September et November. The climate is very hot but humid too. Thats' why we have wonderful flowers but also mosquitoes!! We often have water shortage which is very difficult to live with in our daily life. We are a French territory but we live 7000kms away from France. Flights are quite expensive to come and visit the Caribbean islands and it can difficult to see our friends and families who live in France.
