Evaluation of the meeting - Portugal - Aida Diamantino Cardoso

The meeting in Sliac was quite a positive one because it allowed pupils to get involved in several multilingual group works related to, for example, "My ideal school". Each group of pupils from the partner schools did a work about their school rules.Videos were also shown about each partner school and about "A day in my school". They got involved in dancing/art workshops. In the latter one, in "Terra Permonia", they made their own items using several kinds of materials. Outdoor visits were organised, too. It must also be said that our pupils were warmly welcomed by host families. Last but not least, the friendly bonds among all the teachers were the icing on the cake. In short, we are thankful to Alzbeta and to all the other Slovakian teachers and pupils that organised this meeting. Our special thanks must also go to the host families.

    Meeting in Slovakia /Magdalena Dyrda/

The meeting in Sliac was well-organised. All school stuff did their best to make our stay a nice experience. Our students enjoyed the hospitality of Slovakian families and felt involved in taking part in several activities.

    Ireland.

Meeting in Silac was an extremely positive and beneficial one. Teachers were facilitated to collaborate and share methodologies and strategies used in their differing classrooms in the six different educational spheres. The students gained so much on the trip, immediately they were engaged and enthralled by the differing educational rules, cultures, history. Students pursued stimulating opportunities for learning, both inside and outside of the classroom, such instances were visiting cultural sites, historical sites in Silac, engaging in the Slovakian classroom, presenting to the partner students “A normal day in Banagher College”. The students gained so much from the week valuable life-skills, education, friendship and international experience. The trip increased their motivation to learn about differing countries, development of cultural awareness and open-mindedness. We are indebted to Alzbeta, the teachers and the host families for welcoming the Irish group.

Organising a project meeting in winter is quite a big challenge. We tried to do our best to prepare interesting, educational and fun activities for pupils and for teachers too. We were lucky it was snowing. Some pupils could enjoy the snow for the first time. Thanks to parents and project team we all had good time, shared good practice and learned new things. Hope everyone found something positive in a week.
