4.12 European day of languages

  • The European Day of Languages (EDL) was first celebrated in 2001 during the European Year of Languages. The day was a success and it became an annual event, to be celebrated each 26th September. Every year, millions of people around Europe organise or take part in activities to promote linguistic diversity and the ability to speak other languages.

The main aim is to draw attention to Europe's rich linguistic and cultural diversity, it is an opportunity to celebrate all of Europe's languages, including those that are less widely spoken and the languages of migrants.

26th September is a great day to celebrate all languages of an "Old continent".

In this section we will present how we share our friendship with Erasmus+ project countries to promote their culture, geography, language and many other interesting facts.
