Main objectives of the course
The main objective of the training was on how to use assessment as a learning strategy. In addition to analyzing a range of assessment methodologies used for formative and summative work, creative, innovative and diverse forms of assessment for learning have been explored, focusing on learning outcomes arising from the use of specific teaching and learning methodologies, including cooperative learning. Participants explored how broader skill sets can be assessed and how intercultural approaches and blended learning can give rise to a broader set of intercultural skills and creativity, and the various ways they can be assessed.
In addition, there was an opportunity to learn about some of the most flexible technology applications for assessment and to see how a wide range of forms of assessment can be used - for example, self-assessment and peer methods, identifying creativity as the basic support.
