1ST TRAINING COURSE - INNOVATIVE APPROACHES TO EDUCATION

  • Training organized by ITC - International Training Center from 22 to 26 January 2018 in Prague, Czech Republic.
    Five teams were present: two from Portugal, one from Turkey, one from Spain and one from Cyprus. The representatives of the General Serpa Pinto School Group, in Cinfães, were the teachers António Carneiro (1st cycle), Mónica Ferreira (English 2nd cycle), Elisabete Barbosa (Languages ​​of the 3rd cycle) and Pedro Peixoto (Geography of the 3rd cycle).

    Course objectives:

    Improve teacher competencies to learn innovative student-centered teaching methods and techniques by encouraging the resolution of real-world tasks and developing transversal skills;
    To know techniques for working with heterogeneous classrooms and to support inclusion in conventional education based on democratic values, promoting active participation in society;
    Obtain a broader understanding of education practices, policies and systems from different countries.

    Module 01 - Theoretical module - The education of the 21st century

    Module 02 - Critical and creative thinking, how can it be developed?

    Module 03 - Project-based learning; inquiry-based learning; based learning.

    Module 04 - Project, implementation and evaluation of a project

    Module 05 - Modern trends in evaluation

    Module 06 - Dealing with multicultural classes

    Module 07 - Adapting teaching materials to meet the needs of differentiated classes

    Module 08 - Metacognition, Teaching Students to Learn

    Module 09 - ICT as a tool for the development of creativity and critical thinking

    Module 10 - Formative assessment versus summative assessment, portfolios, checklists, peers and self-assessment
