In the footsteps of Agostino Fossati walking in the old town

Agostino Fossati was a painter, he was born in La Spezia in 1830.  In 1853 he became a professor at the school of Ornato of La Spezia, the same in which he studied. He died in his hometown in 1904.

His works are very important because they represent the development of the city from a small village into a remarkable military and trade centre.

Students organized a path in the old town following Fossati’s footsteps and discovering how the old neighbourhoods became in the last century comparing the pictures of the painter with the current blocks.

SPAIN

Students at IES LA OLIVA have started visiting the museums we have in our town. Through the subject of English they will study our local traditions and also our local and regional flora and fauna.

After these visits the students will work in a project which will be exposed in the main hall of our high school and also they will make videos and presentations which will be shown in other groups. Thanks a lot to the students from 1st PMAR,3rdESO A, 4th ESO B for taking part in these activities.

POLAND

Polsish second grade Loresu students organised a sightseeing event within Old Town Experience activity. Under the supervision of Maths and IT teacher Mr. Jerzy Witkowski they created and tested a scavenger hunt game in the Actionbound application.  Moreover, together with our History teacher, Mr. Piotr Sidor, they created a map of the most characteristic places in the town.  Furthermore, they created a miniguide both in Polish and English.
