Estonian breakfast- collaborative lesson

  • TAMY VOITSIOU

Estonians eat a nutrient-rich breakfast. They usually consume rye bread, cheese, ham, tomatoes, cucumbers and croissants. Their most favourite drink is” Petippini” made of yoghurt, milk and strawberries. Pupils of D1(fourth graders, aged 9) prepared “Petippini”(with organic goat milk and fresh strawberries), homemade rye bread and fat -free croissants .

Instead of smoked ham, pupils brought boiled cold cuts of turkey breast and enjoyed a delicious and nutritious Estonian-style breakfast!

BENEFITS OF ESTONIAN-STYLE BREAKFAST: high in proteins, calcium, magnesium and phosphorus.
