Tuira School did a trip to Virpiniemi in September. Virpiniemi is located in the north part of Oulu. Because of the remote location of the place we took mass transport to take us where we were going. The Virpiniemi area used to be a sea floor couple of thousand years ago, so the landscape is unique with lots of hills compared to the rest of the Oulu area which is quite flat.
The whole school participated in the outdoor activity and classes took part in different kind of activities. Activities were frisbee golf, hiking and collecting berries, making a nature art and playing outdoor games in the park. At the end of the trip all students had their well deserved meal outdoors by the fire.
