Tuesday
Meeting started by ”Welcoming Ceremony” where whole school welcomed our guests.
After the ceremony we started Project work with closing the last theme and opening the new theme “Moving towards well-being”.
Later afternoon we enjoyed winter by swimming in icy river or visiting snow castle.
In the evening we went to tour around city center. Tour ended to taking photo with the most famous statue “Market square policeman”.
Wednesday
In the morning we had chance to observed classes. In project work we also chose mascot for the project. Winner is Portugal.
After lunch we visited Timosenkoski nature school. After presentation we had chance to take care of our own well-being with winter sport. Day ended with snacks by the campfire.
Thursday
On workshop we learned each country’s traditional games. Fifth graders took part to this workshop so they learned the games and they could teach games to younger pupils at recess. You can find video which was shot at the workshop from the page “Traditional games”.
At the afternoon it was time to summarize projects next steps and enjoy sunny winter day by the seaside. Walking on the frozen sea and meeting reindeer was nice end to the meeting.
At the farewell dinner we thanked our guests and whole schools staff for wonderful meeting! See you at Corvo!
