Getting to know the school neigbourhood

Tuira school locates in the middle of the city which makes studying nature a little bit challenging. Luckily there are two amazing parks just in the walking distance from the school.

Tuira school´s class 4B did a trip to nearby Tuira park. Purpose for the trip was to get to know the surrounding environment and nature by filming, photoing and identifying different local trees, plants and herbs.

From the students point of view the trip was both educating and fun. They got to work independently and took responsibility from their own work. At the same time some of students stopped probably for the first time to really look what´s growing around us here in the northern part of Europe.

The pupils went for a walk to explore our school's neighbourhod. One of our pupils had a drone and made a video of the surroundings. On the video, you can see our school, as well as his house. J
