  • Understanding attitudes to immigration

    The survey was designed to measure aspects of VSMC students' opinion toward immigration. The goal was to question the students before the awareness campaign on immigration and refugees and after the campaign to see how the attitudes change if they do.

    Conclusions

    Data about the respondents

    51 students were surveyed during the first round of the survey and 53 during the second round.

    Age:

    • The majority of students 25% in the first round and over 35 % in the second are in the age group from 17 to 20;
    • students aged from 20 to 30 about 16 %;
    • another big group are students from 30 to 40 - a bit over 22% in both rounds;
    • in both surveys people from 40 to 50 made up 17%;
    • and finally 15% in the first round and 11 % in the second were students over 50 years old.

    Gender and children:

    • In both rounds women were the majority group
    • over 52% in the first round and over 55% in the second are students who have children.

    Employment:

    Mostly these are working students - on average over 70%.
