Dissamination of KA2 Project: Information and Educational Materials for Refugees and Immigrants
Developing a dissemination plan is a key part of the collaborative project planning process. Although the project partners from all the organizations involved and project team in every organization involved working together won’t know the results of the project until it’s completed, working through an initial dissemination plan helped Latvian team focus the project and identify key audiences.
We were following is a list of some of the key elements that were included in a dissemination plan, it also provides a good overview of some of the most critical things that were considered.
- Project overview
As we clarified an outcomes and goals of our project from the very beginning and planed our time for all the activities , project was divided in four stages.
- Dissemination goals
One of the main goals of the project is to increase the number of available materials for immigrants and refugees, videos and materials for learning, that can be used while teaching in working places and for NGO’s, therefore a great attention is paid to outreach activities.
- Target audiences
The dissemination takes place throughout the duration of the project, with continuous diffusion of the results. Various target groups benefit from that activity: first of all the partners involved in the project, secondly other educational institutions not directly involved in the project (other national and European learning centres, schools, NGO’s , public administrative institutions).
A website for the project is created together with deliverable.
- Dissemination activities, tools
We are regulary giving project presentations at local and international meetings, events, practical training days organized by our partner organizations (workplaces with whom we have a contracts about trainings), throughout the duration of the project. At the beginning presentations were more about awareness raising, later they aimed at persuading people to take advantage of the project outcomes.
International communication is in English, but the local communication is in national languages.

5.Evaluation about refugee crisis, key competences, attitude towards refugees and immigrants quiz “Quiz: what you know (or you don’t) about refugees” results were displayed on the bulletin board in our educational institution so all the students can pay attention to this topic.

26. Creation of e-Twinning page and Twinspace
27. Production of series of filmed materials and written sets of instructions for refugees and immigrant students and employees in Latvian institution started in September 2017. As every time when new student enters the school he or she must act according to the internal rules of the school and must follow the safety rules, it is very difficult in cases when student is not native language speaker that is why in this project we created different video units with little text for migrants and refugees regarding safety matters. Videos can be used not only in Latvia but all around Europe as safety regulation matters are the same in all countries. 29. We participated also in vebinars for organizations working with immigrants and refugees to share our materials created, organized by “Patvērums Drošā māja” under the Project “Informācijas centrs imigrantiem” Nr. PMIF/12/2016/1/1.
30. As we have a lot of materials to offer for people from third countries, we started to participate in project http://www.macibaspieaugusajiem.lv/par-projektu , that allows ppeople from third countries to study in programms we offer with governmental financial support, project will last until year 2020.
5. Evaluation
Evaluation is most effective when it is built in from the start.
