WHAT PROJECT ACTIVITIES  DID YOU ENJOY MOST?

    DANIELS-LV

I enojyed the filming that we did last week

    VALTERS-LV

What I enjoyed the most during the project was probably watching the art films from each country. Both the Greek and Czech films were rather funny as well as thought provoking. I enjoyed watching them much more than the documentaries, as they presented the issues in an entertaining way.

    EGILS-LV

Personally, I enjoyed watching movies because they were interesting and I could see a part of life in other country. There were some things that were a bit less interesting and a bit weird, but nevertheless it was a great view.

    DENISS-LV

I most enjoy a project film filming, because it was been very interesting and exciting. I really like it.

    KĀRLIS-LV

I most enjoyed watching the movies and learning about peoples lifes in other countries.

    ROBERTS-LV

In the project I enjoyed watching films sent by project partners and giving my own opinion about them. While watching these films I could also see a little bit of me in the film characters.

    RENĀRS-LV

In the Project i enjoyed watching films from other countries and giving my opion on them, aswell as sending our own films to other countries. Even though it was mostly just sitting and watching films it was really nice to see how other teengers live in European countries.

    EDIJS-LV

I enjoyed watching the films that were presented to us, it was interesting to take a break from the normal everyday school life and actually watch a film. Some were better than others but it was interesting nonetheless.

    INITA, SAMANTA, DENĪZE-LV

We liked to watch movies and other things. We liked to spend time toghe

    Katerina Martinou (GR)

Well, I liked all the process of the project. Both the documenters and the films and the writing of our film too. I believe it must have been a great experience for the Latvian students when shooting the film. I am going to express my feelings about different special parts of films. I developed a variety of mixed feelings while participating in this project which pointed a great deal of the serious problems that young people are confronted with.

I mostly felt sorry for Giorgos in Loseft 50mg because when you have set your life and then you are fired your whole world is breaking down, your dignity goes away, your psychology is ruined and you may lose everything. I felt sorry also for Modris who seems not to grow up in an ideal environment, he misses his father’s presence and his mum was so incapable to cope with his anxieties and difficult character. I developed more feelings for Petr, who seems to have a special skill in drawing but school doesn’t seem to take it into consideration. I feel like school is somehow indifferent on students’ feelings. They just seem to care about the typical part of the whole thing. And I condemn the headmistress’ way of handling his matter. That was so indecent and pathetic to take the donation and expel him from school. She is the kind of civil servants that shouldn’t be working not only in schools but in no other public post.

    Georgia Abatzoglou (GR)

Mostly i liked working in teams for the last film. The writing (Greek and Czech students and teachers) and shooting of the film by the Latvian students. The Latvian students gave their best self in this. This is a co-production!!! Bravo to all of us! There seemed little time to do our own film too. But we are a team and synchronizing is the best way to success. Of course I liked the films too and the serious problems of young people we saw through them. I also liked the happy end of Maria and Sebastian in "Second Chance" in the Greek film. Her family split because of the great problems of the family but she found real love and i liked it because everyone deserves a second chance in love and in everything.

    Ivana (CR)

I´d like to express some impressions from the teacher´s view. I´m glad that I participated in this project and that I could cooperate with my nice colleagues Inara from Latvia and Tea from Greece. Another pleasure was watching films, all of them, documentaries, fiction ones and especially the students´ one. Great result of a team work! Pleased to cooperate with you, students! For me you´re a kind of hope to the future!  I liked our chats and discussions and a pleasant surprise for me was an effort and responsible approach of some of my students to our common work.

    Jakub F. (CR)

What I liked most was the creative part of the project from creating a project logo to writing the scenario.

    Libor (CR)

I loved adding subtitles to our documentary

    Jakub K. (CR)

Mostly I enjoyed watching films and making subtitles.

    Sandra (CR)

What I enjoyed most was watching films about other countries

    Ondrej (CR)

I liked making a logo and chatting with other countries

    Dominik (CR)

I enjoyed chatting, communication in general.

WHAT PROBLEMS INCLUDED IN OUR FILMS  ARE THE MOST IMPORTANAT FOR YOUNG PEOPLE?

    DANIELS- LV

    Not having money for anything

    VALTERS-LV

I believe the most critical issues out of those which were discussed during our project were probably employment and figuring out what you want to do in the future. We live in uncertain times, and the economy is far from being truly stable, so it’s hard to say if you’re going to be able to do what you truly want to do with your life.

    EGILS-LV

I think that the major problem was that the future of the young people is fading away, it’s way harded to reach our dreams, because of the standards. They are set so high. And the most valuable thing is the grades for teachers. The dreams of students are not important what so ever.

    DENISS-LV

In our films problem is one its love.

    KĀRLIS-LV

In my opinion the most important problems for young people are with finding job after finishing any kind of schools and money problems.

    ROBERTS-LV

After watching all films we could see that appearance and friends are the most important for young people. But if they don’t have neither of that , they will just find something interesting for them , like addictions and rebelous actions.

    RENĀRS-LV

In my opinion the most inportant problems in these films would be the unemployment and relationship. Many young people finish school and have nowhere to work and just sit home with their education doing nothing, because they can’t do anything about the unemployment. Many poeple aswell have problems with relationship, many try to do something and everything fails, but some get somewhere and realise that that isn’t for them.

    EDIJS-LV

The biggest problem with young people is… everything really. Each film presented an important problem for modern youth, and I can’t simply choose between these films which showed it better – one film talked about love, another one talked about freedom, then about stealing, about problems in family. It’s not smart to differentiate a single film that’s supposedly better than the rest.

    INITA, SAMANTA, DENĪZE-LV

Bulling, smoking, drug. Problem to find job.

    Peggy Keke (GR)

I liked all the films better than the documenters as they are fiction films. They represent current youth real problems but there is a more interesting plot. We had the chance to think about youth problems and difficulties of life. Daily uncertainty or lack of essentials, dead ends that they can’t overcome, unemployment or not finding their true mate to share their life are real challenges in life.

It is certain that young people are confronted with serious problems that sometimes turns everything upside down in their lives. This is real life and family has a great responsibility in helping them come out of this embarrassing situation. Congratulation guys for making real our story. Your acting and effects were fascinating. Bravo to all of us.

    Kanavatsa Maria (GR)

Well, thanks to the Latvian students our scenario was made a real film. I think that some guys like to do risky things and put themselves in danger. They like breaking the law like Modris, the Latvian boy or Petr the Czech boy, or the boys in our film.

I think it’s a way to protest against adults for the world they have created and hypocrisy or other youngsters that look down on them because of their economic status or their being different from them. Others may be jealous of not being luck enough while others are concerning chances in life and they find it a way to show their anger against society.

    Kazara Angeliki (GR)

I liked watching the documenters but I better liked the fiction films. We could see what happens in other countries concerning young people. We realized that no matter what country they live in, they always face problems that quite often they can’t cope with efficiently and they turn to violent or dangerous ways to show their dead ends.

I think nowadays the world is challenged with much more serious problems and governments and local societies have to look into the matter and help young people find their way. Parents aren’t always in the position to help their teenagers overcome the stressful incidents they meet with.

    Manolis Lytrivis (GR)

Well, I can understand how the boys, Mordis and Petr feel. Although I have a caring family, many times I feel angry about what is going on in societies and do similar things. I don’t know if this is right or wrong but in our world the right of the most powerful seems to be the rule.

I agree with Robert (LV) that sometimes I see myself in the face of the actors in the films. Well done guys. Your acting was excellent. Not all true stories have good end as in our film.

Graffiti is a soft artistic way to show your feelings. Of course it’s other people property or public one but it’s better to do this than what Dafne’s father did, setting up attacks against innocent people.

    Katerina Martinou (GR)

Little opportunities for a successful life, being out of work or fired, poor family state, little chance to follow your wills and dreams, generally being obliged to live a life against your believes and your interests. Those are some of the most important problems that our project pointed out. Another point is the despair someone may feel and give up fighting for life. Also it has been obvious how much a person can change when meeting with such difficulties. One can turn against the others, believe that someone other is responsible for all his misfortune. People may turn hostile to other people. Friendships and relationships may break up when people are tried so hard. We have to think a lot about what is happening around us and try to keep our thought as clear as we can. Violence is not going to make things beter.

    Jakub F. (CR)

As for me the relationships between friends/our families/others. Finding a good job which would suit me.

    Libor (CR)

     If love exists

    Jakub K. (CR)

I think that school results and relationships with parents

    Sandra (CR)

The biggest and most relevant problems are to find a good job. Drugs are dangerous and young people don´t have enough money to start their life.

    Ondrej (CR)

The biggest problem is to find a job.

    Marek (CR)

I don´t know. Probably unemployment of young people.

    Jan (CR)

Immigration is the biggest problem from these ones. It´s dangerous for us, I´m not saying that all of tem are bad but we must care more who is coming to our continent.

WHAT SKILLS DID YOU LEARN OR IMPROVE WHILE WORKING IN THIS PROJECT?

    DANIELS-LV

I practiced my acting of an angry man..

    VALTERS-LV

I suppose directing, to an extent. I think we could’ve made our movie better, but by the end of it I think the scenes we did were much better filmed than at the start.

    EGILS-LV

I developed a bit of  acting skill, I wouldn’t say it’s good, but it’s something. I started to look outside the box and pay attention to minor details, not just the main story, because minor details make the main story so much more interesting.

    DENISS-LV

I learn many skills: analysing information, working in teams, organising my learning.

    KĀRLIS-LV

In this project i developed skill to pay attention, notice problems.

    ROBERTS-LV

When doing this project I developed my watching and listening skills, also I learned how to act for film.

    RENĀRS-LV

While working on the Project i developed my listening skills, i could analize the information much better.

    EDIJS-LV

None really. For me this project was more of a skill-check for the things I already knew and could do. It was just a big test for me, and I wouldn’t say I failed it.

    INITA, SAMANTA, DENĪZE-LV

    Another opinion about these countrIes.

    Georgia Abatzoglou (GR)

Participating in this project and in projects generally gives us the opportunity to improve ourselves in many ways. In this project we had the chance not only to develop our language skills but also our way of thinking and considering things in different countries about youth problems. We realized that although there are many ways to fight the bad side of life, our actions may affect our lives seriously. Sometimes it’s difficult to cope with embarrassing situations and reality is quite harsh. So it has been a chance for us to think a little more seriously about the challenges of life, how we can become strong people and try for the better and become winners of life.

    Peggy Keke (GR)

I liked participating in this project because I improve my skills in English, in cooperating, in watching things from another point of view, in having the chance to think about it. I have also realized that we have to think before we act because sometimes we may find ourselves in real trouble. Anyway I can’t say that I don’t like doing risky things with my friends but to a certain extend. We can’t compete with the guys in the films. I liked the cooperation with students from other countries. My sister has the best impressions of Latvia as she had participated in our school's last Comenius project.

    Jakub F. (CR)

Getting information about problems from other countries and trying to find a way to solve them

    Libor (CR)

Sony vegas skills (sync. , work with multiple text layouts)

    Jakub K. (CR)

Making subtitles, communication with other people and a team work.

    Sandra (CR)

Nothing much, maybe I´ve learned something about other countries.

    Ondrej (CR)

Communication in a team and finishing work before a deadline.

    Dominik (CR)

I´d say that I´ve learnt something new about other countries.

    Jakub C. (CR)

I´ve practised a communication and a team work

WRITE YOUR WISH FOR ALL PROJECT PARTNERS!

    DANIELS-LV

Don’t get a life threathening disease I guess!

    VALTERS-LV

I wish for all of you to make it in this world, getting past the issues we saw in the films to do what you want to do. I like to think that despite all these problems, we’re moving towards a more tolerant and peaceful world, and I hope you will be a part of it.

    EGILS-LV

Set your dreams high and go for them with all your heart. Everything is possible.

    DENISS-LV

I wish to finish all your projects.

    KĀRLIS-LV

Good luck and have fun participating in this project.

    ROBERTS-LV

For all our partners! I hope  you have  great summer break!

    RENĀRS-LV

I wish nobody would run into these problems and that everybody does great in their studies aswell as find what they are searching for in life.

    EDIJS-LV

I wish everyone a nice and calm summer, and I wish the best of luck to everyone who was involved in the project! 😊

    INITA, SAMANTA, DENĪZE-LV

Find another interests, without smoking and drinking. !!!

    INARA-LV

In the begining we faced with quite serious problem- not all films what we wanted to show our partners were  available in their countries, not all films had English subtitles. Thanks to THE NATIONAL FILM CENTRE OF LATVIA, especially ZIGITA SAULĪTE, who helped us to complete our project plans.

    Anastasia Roumbeca (GR)

Hi guys! We are sure that you enjoyed shooting of the film. Are you ready for new challenges? We can see that you liked acting experience. We usually do too. In our school we perform theatrical plays every year and participating in them is quite fascinating.

That was an international cooperation and this is the real thing. We were given the chance to think more about our life, about our ways to protest, the pros and cons in doing risky actions. Sometimes I do get angry with life and what is going on.

I wish you all taste this summer in full and enjoy life. Let us face future with a positive stance and spirit. Don't forget. Things have always been difficult. When we persist we are more likely to succeed. Good summer to all of us.

    Georgia Abatzglou (GR)

Nice to have worked with you. I hope we learned something through this project. I wish we all find our way in life and fulfill our dream. For the time being we will enjoy our summer. We really need it.

    Peggy Keke (GR)

Thanks Latvian guys for shooting our film. We have to tell you that this isn’t a really fiction film. In some parts it has been real. People have lost their life because some “known-unknown” guys, we call them “troublemakers” often do it in the center of Athens for years now.

    Katerina Martinou (GR)

Thanks guys for working with you this year. It was a really nice project concept. I hope all this interaction is going to have an impulse on us all and be more conscious of our actions. Let’s wish that we, the younger, will turn everything to the better, work for world peace, fighting against terrorism and injustice.  I wish you all spend your time off school in the best way this summer. And who knows?

It has been a nice participation. I wish we are lucky and we all meet with success in our life. We have to keep hope that everything is going to turn out well. So let’s go for it and fight for it. Now we are definitely going to take time to relax. Let’s go away and change our daily routine to an exciting summer time.

    Ageliki Kazara (GR)

Let's go out and have fun! Exams are over! What a relief! I am done in! I wish you all enjoy your summer. And be positive!

    Ivana (CR)

As somebody has noticed here: there have always been problems! So I wish you a lot of energy to solve them and not to give up. We can´t demand happiness, we must deserve it. Don´t escape anywhere, be with your families and your friends, work hard and have fun! But it´s impossible to have fun all the time, so don´t be disappointed. Life isn´t easy! And what is more important, I wish you a lot of love!

    Jakub F. (CR)

Be yourself and do what you like because nobody wants to do boring things.

    Libor (CR)

Be yourself....or make your life different. Do whatever you want...well...almost whatever ^^

    Jakub K. (CR)

    Be healthy and enjoy life!

    Sandra (CR)

Good luck in your life, stay healthy and have a nice summer break!

    Ondrej (CR)

I wish you more similar projects and to finish this project succesfully.

    Dominik (CR)

I wish you everything good and enjoy your holidays, I guess.

    Jakub C. (CR)

    Be rich and healthy!
