    Agelos Zokos (GR)

I liked the documentary film of the Czech student with greatest wish of people of previous generation compared to young people's greatest wish. My own greatest wish or wishes are not somenthing uncommon or particular. We live with another kind of uncertainty than the old peoples in the video as we are in a difficult economical situation nowadays. So I wish I had my own family and house and be happy. I wish I found a job that could make my life better.  I would like to live in a world without wars, poverty, abuse. I dream peace in the world without killings and people in distress.

    Agelos Vourkos (GR)

As Agelos said we are running a difficult period in my country, economically and politically so I would like more stability and safety. We, the young people, feel so uncertain about what is going to happen to us, I mean if we will be able to find a job, make family, have our own money.

    Maria Kypraiou (GR)

I liked the documentary because it shows what the wishes were for older people and the difference between young people nowadays, For example what we consider now as granted, like freedom or living in your own home when you create your own family, seemed to be the greatest good to these people. They also couldn’t travel, either because they weren’t allowed because of their regime or because they didn’t have money.  The last five years the situation in my country is a little bit embarrassing. Being under austerity, our dreams and wishes are restricted. So my greatest wish could be to be able to study and get enough qualification on one hand and find a job here in my country and not be forced to leave my country. If it wasn't for the economic crisis perhaps my greates wish would be different as all i wished would seem to be certain to happen.

    Lena Kanbouridou (GR)

I enjoyed the video and the people greatest wish especially the old couples' wishes and memories of the past. They seem to have fought in their lives and seem also to have spend a difficult but happy life together. I wish I had time to do things I like in my life  and not spend my whole life working long hours to cover my essential needs. I see people nowdays trying to find a job, earn very little money and be miserable because they can’t fulfill their needs. I can’t stand this situations. It makes me feel stressed and unhappy.

    Aggeliki Kazara (GR)

I don’t like what is happening in the world, all these refuges that are obliged to leave their countries and live in distress. My greatest wish is that we, people, could live in their country in peace, prosper and feel save, have a job, a real life.

    Manolis Litrivis (GR)

My greatest wish is that I could travel in other counties and meet people there, in their home, exchanging cultural knowledge, instead of seeing people living like animals in ghettoes, in cold, under the worst conditions having lost all their properties, their dignity and even more their lives.

    Nikos Lappas (GR)

I think that history makes circles and some of the old peoples’ wishes in the video could be the same with young peoples’ today. For example, young people in Greece too don’t have enough money because there are no jobs, so their wish is to study and find a job in their country. This is my own greatest wish too.

    Anastasia Roumbeka (GR)

I really liked the interviews in this film and see what young people of 50s and 60s dreamt of. We were used to be more demanding from life and consider having money or travelling or buying things or feeling free and safe as the simplest things that family and state should provide. The last decade things have changed in Greece and in Europe I think and this is under reconsideration. We have to struggle enough to complete our studies, to find a job, to earn money, to start a family and be able to have a decent level of living. Of course this may be good as it makes us try more and become more mature and responsible individuals.

    Maria Kanavatsa (GR)

Our grandparents lived under very difficult conditions. Our country as most European countries had gone out of war and later out of dictatorship, so all people had to fight poverty and start their live from zero. Their freedom was limited and their own dream was to make a family and live a better life, thinking more about survival. This is what we see in the video the old couple wished for when they were young. We the younger people in Greece haven't met with the war threat over our heads so our priorities are different and our wishes are different. But the situation in Greece is difficult and we all meet with insecurity for our future. I hope to be able to study and find a job in my countriy and make my dreams come true.

    Zoe Lappa (GR)

I agree with my greel fellow students in what they have said as far as now and i would like to say again that while our grandparents met with war or dictatorship and had a hard time, our parents lived in better conditions and were able to dream more, not only about surviving.  We, today can dream to and are definitely able to fulfill more than old people could, and feel free to an extent, but financial situation again restricts our dreams. It is important to put priorities in what we want, more vital things, as money aren’t enough and we have to be more responsible and careful if we want to fulfill our dreams.

    Jakub C. (Czech Rep.)

I think that our film is interesting because there is a reflection about "True luck in your life". And life is short and we want to spend it happily. Than we must STOP for a minute and think about "What is my greatest wish ?".

Every person has bigger or smaller wishes they want to achieve in their life , that can be everything , but what exactly people wish for is only known for them. In the Czech movie you can see how people change their wishes while growing up or what was important when they were 18.

Most of the people might think that cannot be true , because we think - ''I'm not like that and I don't what things that teens are talking about'' , but the film is about the biggest part of teens. In the film you can see that teens nowadays want more things that are new and expensive.

But the oldest people tell that they never wanted something expensive and pretty, just because they knew that they can lose that , they don't have that much resources to spend on new things , and someday they will not be useful anymore , so mostly oldest people wished that they can study where they want and possibly get a job.

As people grow up they realize that they want something that you can keep for whole of the life and your friends and family are more important than anything worth money. We don't know what we will want when we get old , but I hope that we will still want to have our families and friends with us.

    1. I will term the disire of all who are aound me. I prefer reality because expectations can only imagine. Yes, wish is dream. Each have an imaginary desire and everything is an abstacle. Wish to have everyday.

    2. The most frequently mentioned examples of this film is about wish, love, hobby, adductuve because these things relate to each people life.

    3. I believe, that each generation all depends on age, as a grown man is reasonable.

    4. My desires require a change of the parents, sometimes friends or results. They depend on hobbies, love and the things that they like.

    5. My wishes in childhood - I wanted a lot of new items.

Wishes in kindergarten - I wanted a lot of friends and attention.

Wishes in Elementary School - I wanted good results in training and drills.

Now - I wanted a lot of free time, good and long sleep, spend time with friends.

After 10;20 years - I want it your apartment, family, love and BMW.

    6. We have expectations because every dream about something. I conclude that thefrom expectations formed something new.

Italy I think the main couse of teen unenployment is unfiting work hours. Most of the jobs are in school hours. Czechia I think that wish is something you really want to happen. Wishes are really similar to dreams , maybe even the same. Personaly I think that there are 2 kinds of wishes- the ones that can really happen if you try and the ones that can never happen , no matter how hard you try. Most of the people wish for a happy family , happy life and health, because nobody want to be alone, unhappy and sick. The bigest difference is that nowdays young people wish for families and good life , but in past teens wished for knowlige and education. I think our wishes change because of the experiences we get and events that happen in our lifes. When I was really young I wished that I could travel the world , but now I wish for the same things most teens do - happy and successful life. I think we need wishes , because they are encouraging us to achieve our goals in life.

    VALTERS LV

Everyone on Earth wishes for something. For each individual, these wishes are different, but we all still possess them. Even people who claim that their lives are perfect and they wish for nothing do wish for something, even if it's just the status quo.

In the film presented, the wishes expressed by young people, and those remembering their youth, usually relate to finding a nice job, getting good education, or starting a family of their own. There is a notable difference between the younger and older generations, however. As mentioned by one elderly couple, they had been raised in a communist regime, and even then it was more difficult for a female to get good education. Still, overall the wishes seemed to be quite similar, as everyone has one simple goal - to live a happy fulfilled life.

Our greatest wishes change as we grow older. They might change because we reach our previous goals, or maybe we simply realize that what we thought we wanted out of life simply wasn't it. Young people likely experience this more, as they struggle to find their purpose in life and society. Most kids, including myself, went through a period in their childhood where they frequently changed thoughts on what they wanted to be when they grew up.

I distinctly recall how when I was in kindergarten, my greatest wish was to make my country proud. I wanted to be an athlete or soldier, something to 'show off my country's colors', so to say. In time, however, this changed, as I started to think more about my own growth and felt the need to do something creative in life. Right now I'm hoping to get into our country's Culture College after high school and to study theater, both acting and producing. My greatest wish is to produce a movie which would be shown on the big screens across the globe, but that's a long ways away, obviously.

In conclusion, I would say that wishes are very much a good thing. They're our main source of motivation, our driving force in life. Without wishing for anything, we wouldn't achieve anything, and if everyone was like that, the world would come to a halt. That's something that simply mustn't happen.

Wish:  Feeling that one would like to have or do something or to see something happen; a desire, longing, or strong inclination for a specific thing.

An expression of a desire, longing, or strong inclination: carried out the wishes included in the will.

An expression of desire for the happiness or success of another: sent me his best wishes.

Something desired or longed for: finally got his wish to see the ocean.

Wish and realaty: The New Year’s holiday certainly calls for celebration. It’s a time filled with happiness and hope, as we anticipate a new beginning. It’s also a time for planning and prioritizing our personal and professional aspirations.

Wish=dream: Yes wish is dream. Because maybe youre wish is so big.

Imaginary wishes: I wish I didn’t have to work if I could make money in a different way I would have time to do the things that I like. I wish a had a beach house, if I save money I could have one in Miami.

Wish and obstacles: Maybe you have a wish, but your wish is so – so big, and dont have time or money to realize it.

Theare in this film a lott but moust often mentioned examples in this film is to have more time to myself in my life. To have a good family, good childrens. Wished to study on higher level of education. Health – be healthy. Difference of generations in this film maybe 30 to 40 years. Older people wish to study, make higher level of education, have a goog proffesion, but youngest people doesent understand it. Theirs leave in a one day, don’t lloked in the past.

My dreams – wishes everyone not change only we can change all dreams. Ii we want something we do it.

    Wishes in your lifetime:

Childhood: My dream will be a eat a lot of ice cream.

preschool period: buy a good and fast motorbike.

Primary school: Make a lot of good friends who will be helps you.

    KARLIS

Wish is what you want, what you are willing to reach. It is similar to dream, but I think that wish must achievable, realistic and possible. You may never reach it because of obstacles in way.

Mostly they mentioned well-being of their families, the ones they love because they are the most important for many people.

The older the person, the more they care of people around and next generations.

Our wishes are depending on our lifes. Things change, life does the unexpected and that’s what changes our wishes.

I never really had any significant wish, they all are realistic, reachable so to say.

We need wishes, that’s what motivates us to do the unbelievable, they make us reach for something, have some purpose in our lifes

    SAMANTA LV

I agree with all speakers because their words are true. I believe that everyone has the wish. Most expectations related to the family, friends, love, work and hobbies. Each speaker is good and expressed the idea of youthful desires. Very interesting to listen because of some people's words coincide with my wishes. Myself also have a lot of desire but not always implemented. The most important expectations I have health, family and sport. Best of all can be achieved,if it happened. :)

    RENARS,LV

From the video, I can say that a lot of people have wishes about personal stuff, but some wish for the freedom to stay and no wars, also many wish to always be with their families, from this I can tell a lot of people want to live freely with their families and be happy. Some call dreams wishes and I have to agree with that, because some dreams can be big and come true, or maybe a dream to be a president, but there are going to be a lot of obstacles in the way to that goal, as well as there are some who wish for something that could not be done and many call them imaginary, just because they don’t see a purpose in them, but I have to say those wishes set a goal that makes you want to reach for it even if it’s impossible or even absurd. Everyone has a wish, even if it’s a big one or a small one, but they got at least one. Mine for example is simple, I just want to live a normal life, but who knows what life’s got for me. The wishes may change in time, just by growing up we decide new things and have different wishes from before, for me when I was younger I wished that I would grow up, when I grew up i wished to live a normal life, but I can guaranty that when I am old I am going to wish that I was younger, to enjoy life more. In the end, wishes are one of the things that keeps us going forward, trying to fulfill them gives us a goal in life that we want to achieve.

    SUMMARY (written by Latvian team)

We agree with most of the Greek student`s opinions, because our thoughts match about their biggest wish.We see that wishes change all the time and mostly they are about life conditions. As our classmate Karina says- most of people wish happy and healthy family. Valters says that everyone is havinga a wish, no matter who you are. Lena Kanbouridou talks about one more aspect of wish- doing things you really like. However, sometimes our wishes are limited by our recourses. Greek students are talking about difficult period in their country, economically and politically.
