SUMMARY OF THE QUESTIONNAIRE about the film MODRIS

"Overall, it's clear that most respondents paid attention during the film, as out of 24 respondents 17 answered the first question correctly - Modris had pulled a fish out from the machine.

3 people likely didn't watch it, as they responded that Modris had stolen something other than his mother's heater.

3 people may also have missed what Modris' mother told him about his father - she told him he was in jail.

3 more people thought Modris lies about buying his mother a present, and two people thought he was addicted to video games, not gambling.

Most people were correct about the next two questions as well, though some mistakes on what suspended sentence was were made.

Almost everyone was correct about him looking for his father at the furniture enterprise, but a third of the respondents (8) had made a mistake on the question 'Where did he celebrate his birthday', which he had done with his girlfriend.

As for why his girlfriend dumped him, some responded the reason was cheating - while it was present, his girlfriend didn't actually know about it, and left him because of his gambling problem.

When asked why his mother lied to Modris, people mostly said that she wanted to protect him, and that his father didn't care about him. Responses also included his parents' relationship failing and her not wanting Modris to try and find his father.

For the reason and timing of Modris' life going 'downhill', many suggested that it happened before the movie and his gambling problem began, while others said it started with him choosing to steal. Some also said it happened when he was sentenced or when he found out about his mother's lies.

For the reason why he got beaten up, the main one mentioned was that he had had sex with another girl and possibly made her pregnant, and the girl had told her friends to beat him. Some also suggested that he didn't fit in with the other kids in his class.

And, finally, only 2 people didn't think Modris could not change his life and start a new one. Some suggested that it would've been possible earlier, as at the end of the move he's already in jail.
