3rd primary school of Drama. GREECE

  • All the pupils of our school have been involved in this part of the project and the outcome of their work was surprising!

    In order to work on Goal 7 effectively, we divided the classes of our school into 3 categories,according to the three main clean sources of energy: our 1rst and 2nd graders worked on the positive effect of the sun, our 3rd and 4rth graders organized activities inspired by the value of water and our 5th and 6th graders learned about the advantages of the wind in our everyday life.

    Our 1rst Graders made a solar oven to discover the benefits of heating food or boiling water with the benefit of the sun power.

    Our 2nd Graders read poems and fairytales about the sun. They sang songs and made a model of a greenhouse in our school yard with the help of their teacher.

    Our 3rd Graders created a hydroelectric plant model and a dam.

    Our 4rth Graders focused on the value of water for our town and organised school visits to places in our area where  water is the dominant element.

    Our 5th Graders talked in class about the power of wind and the role of wind generators in our everyday life. 

    Our 6th Graders found out why electric cars are cheaper and more environmentally friendly and filled in questionnaires that added to their knowledge and awareness.

    All in all, the sun, the wind and the water are precious to us!
