Near Méricourt-L'Abbé is one of the many British cemetaries of the country, whose name is Heilly Station Cemetary.

Près de Méricourt-L'Abbé se trouve l'un des nombreux cimetières militaires britanniques de la région ; son nom est “cimetière de la gare d'Heilly”.

On the grave whose memorial reference is I.B.36 is buried the soldier Robert Ball.

Born in 1892, he served as private in the 15^th Bn of the Durham Light Infantry. He was wounded and died on 03/07/1916.
