1st of January - Establishment of Slovakia - Pugačevova Street
After the decision of political leaders of Czechoslovakia in 1993 split the country into 2 separate countries – the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic.
Since then Slovakia is as an independent and democratic state and has a new national symbols - the flag, emblem and the anthem.
On the occasion of celebration of the Establishment of the Slovak Republic we organized several activities in our school: we made national symbols of our country from paper – Slovak Emblem and Flag of Slovakia. We also played puzzle and on the map of Slovakia we searched and had to identify our neighboring countries and the emblems of our most important Slovak cities and towns.
