Restructuring phase

  • This is the final step which lasts about 1 hour or longer.

    1. Discussion on what has been learnt about the habitats and the animals along the path.

    The teacher discusses with the pupils.

    “Let’s try to repeat and translate animals’ names and characteristics.”

    The pupils think over the path again and repeat the new words they have learnt.

     

     

    2.Dramatization: staging and identifying with the different animals in their habitats.

     

    The teacher creates the scenography of each habitat for the show using recycled materials (plastic bottles, boxes, styrofoam blocks… ).

    The pupils choose an animal and identify with it.

    They perform a play and say some adjectives about the performed animal.

    “Hi friends! I’m the Toucan. My beak is long and orange.”
